Abstract

In some fields, it often happens that the lifting target is not achieved, one of which is caused by operational constraints typical of mature fields, namely sand problems, increased water content, corrosive casing, pump damage, and so on. The need for oil is expected to continue to increase, so efforts to increase oil production are very important to continue to meet energy needs. One way to increase oil production is to add or open a new zone in one of the wells with the aim of maintaining or increasing production so that production targets can be achieved and increase the recovery factor. This research aims to determine the amount of OOIP (Original Oil in Place) contained and determine the appropriate development scenario to obtain an optimum recovery factor. The method used in this research is a black oil reservoir model simulation. The data used in this research uses data from 3 productive wells, PVT data, SCAL data and production history data. In the simulation process, field development optimization is carried out by aligning the model performance with reservoir data, so that the model can be considered to represent actual reservoir conditions and pay attention to the parameters of the reservoir's physical properties. In this study, 3 cases were used, namely the base case, Case A, namely opening the perforation and finally Case B by adding an infill well. In the three scenarios, the NP (Production Cummulative) value obtained in the base case was 1.8 MMSTBO with a recovery factor of 21.5%, in the open perforation case the NP (Production Cummulative) value was 2.3 MMSTBO with a recovery factor of 27.8%, and in the case of adding an infill well, the NP (Production Cummulative) value was obtained. in the base case it is 2.7 MMSTBO with a recovery factor of 32.5%.
