Abstract
Dalam rangka mewujudkan ketahanan energi nasional dan menurunkan tingkat karbondioksida (〖CO〗_2), pemanfaatan sumber energi baru terbaharukan untuk kepentingan ketenaga listrikan naisonal harus diutamakan termasuk pemenuhan pembangunan tenaga listrik untuk masyarakat di pedesaan masih cukup rendah. Pemerintah membuat program peningkatan pembangunan pembangkit listrik alternatif non minyak antara lain dengan memanfaatkan potensi sumber daya alam berupa air sungai. Kabupaten Kudus mempunyai potensi ketersedian air yang cukup melimpah baik. Potensi yang akan di kaji dalam penelitian ini yaitu di bendung karanggayam di Desa Jurang Kecamatan Gebog, Kabupaten Kudus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: menganalisa debit andalan yang tersedia di Sungai Gelis sebagai tenaga PLTMH, menghitung nilai tinggi energi efektif yang tersedia untukkebutuhan perencanaan PLTMH, membuat desain bangunan PLTMH yang baik dan menghitung besar energi yang dapat dihasilkan oleh PLTMH yang di rencanakan. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh nilai debit andalan 80% sebesar 1, 76 m³/ detik, tinggi energi efektif hidrolis 2,738 m dan total kehilangan energi sebesar 0,262 m. Jenis turbin yang digunakan adalah Axial Flow Pump jenis Kaplan dan Propeller. Besar daya daya generator yang dihasilkan adalah 6,3676 kWh dan produksi rata rata bulanan 4648.6288 kWh. Total produksi Energi selama satu tahun sebesar 55783,546 kWh. Dengan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi pemerintah setempat dalam memanfaatkan bendung menjadi Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro.

In order to achieve national energy resilience and reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) levels, the prioritization of utilizing new renewable energy sources for national electricity needs must be emphasized, including meeting the electricity development needs for rural communities, which are currently relatively low. The government has initiated programs to enhance the development of non-oil alternative power plants, including harnessing the potential of natural resources such as river water. Kudus Regency has abundant water resources. The potential studied in this research is at the Karanggayam Dam in Jurang Village, Gebog Sub-district, Kudus Regency. The research aims to analyze the available main discharge in the Gelis River as a source of Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLMTH) energy, calculate the effective hydraulic head for PLTMH planning, design a well-structured PLTMH building, and estimate the amount of energy that can be generated by the planned PLTMH. The research results indicate a dependable discharge of 80%, amounting to 1.76 m³/second, an effective hydraulic energy head of 2.738 meters, and a total energy loss of 0.262 meters. Axial Flow Pump turbines, specifically Kaplan and Propeller types, were employed in the study. The generated power output is 6.3676 kWh, with a monthly average production of 4648.6288 kWh. The total annual energy production is 55783.546 kWh. This research is expected to serve as a reference for the local government in utilizing dams as Micro Hydro Power Plants.
