Abstract
Material ZIF-8 telah berhasil disintesis dengan pelarut asam asetat (AA) dan dimetilformamida (DMF), serta digunakan sebagai template untuk preparasi C/ZnO. Pola difraktogram dan spektra Fourier Transform InfraRed (FTIR) material hasil sintesis menunjukkan puncak karakteristik pada 2θ = 7,30◦, 10,36◦, 12,68◦, 16,40◦, 17,98◦, serta puncak serapan yang sesuai dengan ZIF-8 standar. Penggunaan pelarut mempengaruhi kristalinitas, dimana penggunaan pelarut DMF menghasilkan ZIF-8 yang lebih kristalin dibandingkan penggunaan larutan asam asetat. Material C/ZnO diperoleh melalui kalsinasi ZIF-8 pada suhu 500°C selama 1 jam, dan menunjukkan pola difraktogram yang mirip dengan ZnO standar. Morfologi permukaan ZIF-8 hasil sintesis berupa butiran kristal yang bentuknya mirip dengan ZIF-8 referensi. Perubahan ZIF-8 menjadi C/ZnO terlihat dari perubahan warna dari putih menjadi coklat muda. Hasil uji fotokatalitik terhadap metilen biru dalam air menunjukkan bahwa bahan C/ZnO(AA) mempunyai %removal tertinggi yaitu 93,8%, dan waktu kontak optimum 120 menit dengan dosis fotokatalis 15 mg dalam 30 mL larutan metilen biru dengan konsentrasi 25 ppm

The ZIF-8 material has been successfully synthesized using acetic acid (AA) and dimethylformamide (DMF) as a solvent, and used as a template for the preparation of C/ZnO. The diffractogram pattern and Fourier Transform InfraRed (FTIR) spectra of the synthesized material show characteristic peaks at 2θ = 7.30◦, 10.36◦, 12.68◦, 16.40◦, 17.98◦, as well as absorption peaks that correspond to ZIF-8 standard. The use of solvents affects crystallinity, where the use of DMF solvent produces ZIF-8 which is more crystalline than the use of acetic acid solution. The C/ZnO material was obtained through calcination of ZIF-8 at 500°C for 1 hour, and showed a diffractogram pattern similar to standard ZnO. The surface morphology of the synthesized ZIF-8 is in the form of crystal grains whose shape is similar to the reference ZIF-8. The change in ZIF-8 to C/ZnO can be seen from the color change from white to light brown. The results of the photocatalytic test on methylene blue in water showed that the C/ZnO(AA) material had the highest % removal, namely 93.8%, and the optimum contact time was 120 minutes with a photocatalyst dose of 15 mg in 30 mL of methylene blue solution with a concentration of 25 ppm
