Abstract

This report documents the author's internship experience at PT Djarum SKT Megawon II, a company operating in the cigarette industry, specifically in Hand-Rolled Kretek Cigarettes (SKT). PT Djarum is one of the largest Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies in Indonesia, which continues to uphold Indonesian culture through the production of traditional kretek cigarettes. During the internship, the author focused on the analysis and implementation of Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) strategies to optimize labor needs and daily cash inventory. Challenges encountered included the cash payment process to freelance workers and the need for additional labor to meet production targets. The author conducted analysis on orders, labor, productivity, unit costs, inventory costs, and wage costs to support the formulation of more effective S&OP strategies. The results of the internship show that with the implementation of S&OP, PT Djarum can more accurately predict labor and cash needs, thereby reducing the risk of resource shortages and increasing operational efficiency. Additionally, suggestions for further improvements in human resource management and production control are expected to help the company achieve its long-term goals.
