Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago country with two-thirds of its territory being waters, which holds a strategic position in the world trade routes. The role of ports is vital in Indonesia's economy as they support the mobility of goods and people. Ports function as centers of economic, trade, and industrial activities by stimulating growth without creating these activities. PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) emerges as a world-class port integrating ports in Indonesia, with four main business units: PT Pelindo Multi Terminal, PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik, PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, and PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim. Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (Pelindo TPK) plays a strategic role in promoting economic and social growth and equity. To address capacity overload in 2010, the Teluk Lamong Terminal project was planned. This terminal almost entirely uses electric energy, prompting the establishment of PT Lamong Energi Indonesia (PT LEGI), which focuses on electricity. PT LEGI develops Gas Engine Power Plants (PLTMG) to save PLN electricity costs during peak loads. With a capacity of 3.3 x 2 MW, PLTMG supports the operation of the Teluk Lamong Terminal from 17.00 to 22.00. To ensure smooth operations, the company must have a good machine maintenance system. Machine maintenance is crucial in maintaining the stability of production and operational efficiency of the company.
