Abstract

Udara merupakan salah satu komponen lingkungan yang paling penting bagi seluruh makhluk hidup untuk mempertahankan kehidupan di bumi. Namun demikian, baik di dalam maupun di luar, udara juga dapat tercemar. Beberapa faktor umum yang menyebabkan kualitas udara dalam ruangan buruk diantaranya kurangnya ventilasi udara (52%), sumber kontaminasi di dalam ruangan (16%), kontaminasi dari luar ruangan (10%), mikroba (5%), bahan bangunan (4%), dan lainnya (13%). Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menentukan kualitas udara dalam ruangan di Gedung Perpustakaan ITS melalui parameter mikrobilogi yaitu keberadaan bakteri dan jamur di dalam ruangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pasif dengan settle plate dengan media Nutrient Agar (NA) dan media Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA), serta metode aktif dengan impingement. Dalam penelitian ini, data primer diperoleh langsung dari pengukuran kualitas fisik udara dalam ruangan meliputi suhu, kelembapan, dan pencahayaan. Penelitian keberadaan bakteri dan jamur serta kualitas fisik udara mengacu pada Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan No. 48 Tahun 2016 tentang Standar Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja Perkantoran. Didapatkan hasil bahwa tidak ada pengaruh aktivitas pengunjung dan kondisi fisik ruang dengan penyakit SBS hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai 0.137 > 0.005 dan nilai F hitung 2.178 < F tabel 3,05 yang artinya tidak terdapat pengaruh antara variabel aktvitas pengunjung dan kondisi fisik ruang dengan gejala Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) dan juga nilai signifikansi untuk pengaruh Pencahayaan (X1), Suhu (X2) dan Kelembapan (X3) secara simultan terhadap bakteri sebagai variabel Y adalah sebesar 0.350 >0.05 dan nilai F hitung 1,328 > F tabel 4,35 artinya tidak ada pengaruh cahaya, suhu, kelembapan terhadap keberadaan bakteri dan jamur di gedung perpustakaan lantai 5 ITS

Air is one of the most important environmental components for all living things to maintain life on earth. However, both inside and outside, the air can also be polluted. Several common factors that cause poor indoor air quality include lack of air ventilation (52%), indoor contamination sources (16%), outdoor contamination (10%), microbes (5%), building materials (4%) , and others (13%). Therefore, research was carried out which aimed to determine indoor air quality in the ITS Library Building through microbiological parameters, namely the presence of bacteria and fungi in the room. This research uses a passive method using a settle plate with Nutrient Agar (NA) media and Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) media, as well as an active method using impingement. In this research, primary data was obtained directly from measuring the physical quality of indoor air including temperature, humidity and lighting. Research on the presence of bacteria and fungi as well as the physical quality of the air refers to Minister of Health Regulation no. 48 of 2016 concerning Office Occupational Safety and Health Standards. The results obtained were that there was no influence on visitor activity and the physical condition of the space on SBS disease, this was indicated by a value of 0.137 > 0.005 and a calculated F value of 2.178 < F table 3.05, which means that there was no influence between visitor activity variables and the physical condition of the space on Sick symptoms. Building Syndrome (SBS) and also the significance value for the influence of Lighting (X1), Temperature (X2) and Humidity (X3) simultaneously on bacteria as variable Y is 0.350 > 0.05 and the calculated F value is 1.328 > F table 4.35 meaning no There is an influence of light, temperature, humidity on the presence of bacteria and fungi on the 5th floor of the ITS library building
