Abstract

Collaboration is a crucial aspect in the operation of businesses involving various facets, ensuring the timely availability of goods or services, quality assurance, and achieving mutually beneficial pricing agreements. PT. X, operating in the heavy equipment distributor industry, needs a diverse range of suppliers, each requiring different handling strategies. To foster good relations with suppliers, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) is essential in designing strategies tailored to the unique characteristics of each supplier. In the design of strategies for this Final Project research, a combined approach of two matrices, Purchasing Portfolio Matrix (PPM) and Supplier Potential Matrix (SPM), known as the hybrid PPM-SPM model, is employed. This approach enables supplier segmentation based on the supplied goods and the potential of each supplier. In this research, supplier segmentation will be divided into four categories based on the PPM matrix to evaluate the supplied goods, with each PPM segment further divided into four categories based on the SPM matrix to evaluate suppliers. This study will entail strategic planning for PT X's suppliers according to the characteristics of the products from each supplier recorded in the procurement department. Data will be collected from PT. X as a observation company. The Best Worst Method (BWM) will then be utilized to determine the criteria weights needed for both segmentation approaches. The results showed that Leverage had 28 suppliers, Strategic had 4 suppliers, Non-Critical had 30 suppliers, Bottleneck had 3 suppliers.
