Abstract

Pencemar logam berat timbal (Pb) dapat menyebabkan gangguan pada aktivitas serta kesehatan manusia. Aktivitas industri menjadi penyebab utama pencemaran zat logam berat timbal (Pb). Logam berat timbal dapat tersebar melalui udara, air, dan limbah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penanganan seperti fitoremediasi agar dapat mengurangi dampak dari pencemar logam berat timbal (Pb). Fitoremediasi merupakan upaya pengurangan atau upaya menangani pencemaran dengan media tanaman yang tidak untuk dikonsumsi. Salah satu media yang dapat digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Tanaman Hias Cordyline fruticosa (Hanjuang) dan Tanaman Hias Aglaonema sp (Sri Rejeki).
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kemampuan tanaman hias Cordyline fruticosa (Hanjuang) dan tanaman hias Aglaonema sp (Sri Rejeki) dalam menyerap zat pencemar tanah logam berat timbal. Tidak hanya tanaman hias penambahan stimulan berupa pupuk urea untuk pertumbuhan tanaman juga dimanfaatkan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam skala laboratorium dengan reaktor dari media tanaman hias. Variabel penelitian yang telah ditentukan adalah penggunaan jenis tanaman yang berbeda dan variasi penambahan pupuk urea dengan kandungan N 46% sebagai stimulan tanaman sesuai peraturan pemakaian. Konsentrasi untuk penambahan pupuk yang digunakan adalah 3 gram.
Hasil penyerapan logam berat timbal (Pb) yang diperoleh adalah tanaman hias Cordyline fruticosa dan Aglaonema sp. adalah sebesar 35,07% dan 32,65% dan dengan variasi penambahan urea didapatkan sebesar 52,47% dan 47,32% lebih besar dibandingkan dengan variasi tanpa penambahan pupuk urea.

Heavy metal lead (Pb) pollution can cause disruption to human activities and health. Industrial activities are the main cause of pollution from the heavy metal lead (Pb). The heavy metal lead can be spread through air, water, and waste. Therefore, treatment such as phytoremediation is needed to reduce the impact of heavy metal lead (Pb) pollution. Phytoremediation is an effort to reduce or deal with pollution using plant media that are not intended for consumption. One of the media that can be used in this research is the Cordyline Fruticosa Ornamental Plant (Hanjuang) and the Aglaonema Sp Ornamental Plant (Sri Rejeki).
This research aims to measure the ability of the Cordyline Fruticosa Ornamental Plant (Hanjuang) and the Aglaonema Sp Ornamental Plant (Sri Rejeki) to absorb the heavy metal lead soil pollutant. Not only ornamental plants, the addition of stimulants in the form of urea fertilizer for plant growth was also used in this research. This research was conducted on a laboratory scale with a reactor made from ornamental plants. The research variables that have been determined are the use of different plant types and variations in the addition of urea fertilizer with an N content of 46% as a plant stimulant according to usage regulations. Concentration for adding fertilizer used are 3 gram.
The results obtained from the absorption of the heavy metal lead (Pb) were the ornamental plants Cordyline fruticosa and Aglaonema sp. were 35,07% and 32,65% and with the variation with the addition of urea it was found to be 52,47% and 47,32% greater than the variation without the addition of urea fertilizer.
