Abstract

Peraturan Menteri Tenaga Kerja No. 5 Tahun 2018.
Korelasi kejadian Sick Building
Syndrome dengan kualitas mikrobiologis udara tergolong rendah dengan nilai koefisien korelasi Pearson 0,379, dengan nilai positif bermakna hubungan searah. Adanya pengaruh

The occurrence of air pollution has an impact on the quality of the surrounding environment. Air pollution can occur in outdoor and indoor. Air pollution can be caused by physical, chemical and biological pollutants. Indoor air quality can be affected if the number of biological pollutant sources exceeds the quality standard. One room that needs to be studied on the microbiological quality of the air is the 1st floor of the ITS Sukolilo Surabaya library building. The purpose of this study is to determine the microbiological quality of indoor air, factors that affect the development of bacteria and fungi in the room, and determine the
relationship between the microbiological quality of indoor air and the incidence of Sick Building Syndrome.
In this study, there are two methods used, in the form of passive methods, namely settle plate and active methods, namely impingement sampling. The sampling location was
determined on the first floor of the library building. Things that need to be considered in determining sample points such as temperature, humidity, and light intensity. Each parameter was measured directly at the location simultaneously with the measurement of the number of
bacterial and fungal colonies.
Based on the research, it was found that the average colony count of bacteria and fungi in the air from six rooms on the first floor is 58 CFU/m3 for bacteria and 38 CFU/m3
for fungi, concluding that the quality of microbiological of indoor air on the first floor of the ITS library building still meets the standards of the Government Standard of Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 5 of 2018. The factors affecting indoor air microbiological quality include
temperature, which has a strong correlation with the number of colonies, with a Pearson correlation coefficient of -0,642, indicating an inverse relationship. There is a strong influence between temperature and the number of colonies, amounting to 41,3%. Humidity has a very strong correlation with the number of colonies, with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0,953, indicating a direct relationship. There is a very strong influence between humidity and the number of colonies, amounting to 87.5%. Meanwhile, light intensity has a low correlation with
the number of colonies, with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0,256, indicating a direct relationship. There is a weak influence between light intensity and the number of colonies, amounting to 6.5%. The correlation between the occurrence of Sick Building Syndrome and
microbiological air quality is low, with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0,379, indicating a direct relationship. There is a weak influence between SBS symptoms and the number of colonies, amounting to 14.4%.
