Abstract

Instalasi Pengolahan Air Minum (IPAM) Kepandean 3 merupakan IPAM paket dari Perusahaan Umum Daerah (PERUMDA) Tirta Darma Ayu Kabupaten Indramayu Jawa Barat yang memproduksi air sebanyak 50 L/s. Seiring meningkatnya pertumbuhan penduduk maka kebutuhan sehari – hari ikut meningkat, salah satunya air bersih. Untuk meningkatkan kebutuhan air maka dilakukan modifikasi – modifikasi pada IPAM yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan air wilayah Indramayu. Modifikasi yang dilakukan pada IPAM Kepandean 3 berupa meningkatkan debit produksi. Selain peningkatan debit operasi terdapat pula masalah pembubuhan zat kimia yang dilakukan tanpa perhitungan rutin, dan mengandalkan intuisi operator. Dikarenakan modifikasi – modifikasi tersebut tidak termasuk dalam desain perencanaan awal maka diperlukan proses pengujian yang disebut sebagai commissioning dan assessment untuk mengetahui pengaruh modifikasi – modifikasi yang dilakukan terhadap unit – unit lainnya. Metode penelitian tersebut dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data terkait dengan kinerja ipam berupa parameter kekeruhan, TDS, pH, dan dimensi unit – unit. Data kemudian akan diuji berdasarkan indikator – indikator yang dibuat berdasarkan kriteria desain dan SNI 0004:2008 tentang comissioning instalasi. Hasil pengujian akan diolah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kondisi lapangan dengan kondisi desain perencanaan. Data tersebut akan digunakan untuk menentukan rekomendasi – rekomendasi upaya meningkatkan kinerja unit. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian ditemukan bahwa IPAM Kepandean 3 memiliki beberapa unit yang tidak sesuai dengan kriteria desain, antara lain unit flokulasi, unit sedimentasi,unit filter, dan unit desinfeksi serta terdapat beberapa unit seperti koagulasi dan desinfeksi yang memiliki permasalahan pada proses dan operasi unit. Dilakukan penyusunan rekomendasi berdasarkan signifikansi dampak yang disebabkan permasalahan tersebut lalu disusun prioritas urutan rekomendasi yang dapat diterapkan. Rekomendasi pada unit – unit tersebut mencakup Standar Operational Procedures (SOP) terutama pada pembubuhan desinfektan unit desinfeksi dan pembubuhan koagulan pada unit koagulasi. Rekomendasi terkait prosedur operasi unit mengenai penjadwalan pencucian (backwash) pada unit filter, penjadwalan pengurasan lumpur pada unit sedimentasi. Diberikan pula rekomendasi mengenai desain hidrolis dan modifikasi pada unit seperti pada unit flokulasi dengan menambahkan insert flocculator pada flokulator untuk menyesuaikan desain dengan kriteria desain, mengatur kembali dimensi settler pada unit sedimentasi, dan pemasangan sensor untuk menguji parameter fisik dan kimia serta flowmeter untuk membantu proses pembukuan dan monitoring debit yang berhasil disadap unit intake

The Kepandean 3 Drinking Water Treatment Plant (IPAM) is a packaged IPAM from the Regional Public Company (PERUMDA) Tirta Darma Ayu, Indramayu Regency, West Java, which produces 50 L/s of water. As population growth increases, daily needs also increase, one of which is clean water. To increase water needs, modifications were made to the IPAM which was able to meet the water needs of the Indramayu area. Modifications made to IPAM Kepandean 3 were in the form of increasing production discharge. Apart from increasing operating discharge, there is also the problem of adding chemicals which are carried out without routine calculations, and relying on the operator's intuition. Because these modifications are not included in the initial planning design, a testing process known as commissioning and assessment is required to determine the effect of the modifications made on other units. This research method was carried out by collecting data related to IPAM performance in the form of turbidity parameters, TDS, pH and unit dimensions. The data will then be tested based on indicators created based on design criteria and SNI 0004:2008 concerning installation commissioning. The test results will be processed to determine the differences between field conditions and planning design conditions. This data will be used to determine recommendations for efforts to improve unit performance. Based on the test results, it was found that IPAM Kepandean 3 had several units that did not comply with the design criteria, including a flocculation unit, sedimentation unit, filter unit, and disinfection unit and there were several units such as coagulation and disinfection that had problems with the process and operation of the unit. Recommendations are prepared based on the significance of the impact caused by the problem and then a priority sequence of recommendations that can be implemented is arranged. Recommendations for these units include Standard Operational Procedures (SOP), especially for applying disinfectant to the disinfection unit and applying coagulant to the coagulation unit. Recommendations regarding unit operating procedures regarding backwash scheduling in filter units, mud draining scheduling in sedimentation units. Recommendations are also given regarding hydraulic design and modifications to units such as the flocculation unit by adding a flocculator insert to the flocculator to adjust the design to the design criteria, rearranging the dimensions of the settler in the sedimentation unit, and installing sensors to test physical and chemical parameters and a flowmeter to assist the bookkeeping process. and monitoring discharge that has been successfully tapped by the intake unit
