Abstract

To support equipment maintenance activities at power plants, it is necessary to have maintenance materials available at the right time and to know the optimal purchase amount so that maintenance activities can be completed properly. The warehouse value for routine spare materials dominates at IDR 7.8 billion and it is necessary to analyze material inventory control in warehouses for this type so that there are no stockouts or overstocks. To control optimal inventory, it is necessary to minimize deadstock material where the material should move for no more than two years. There is a risk that spare parts inventory will become obsolete if not used for a long time. Spare parts in the selected class are based on the results of ABC Analysis and ADI – CV Classification, then experiments are carried out by calculating parameters based on inventory control policies that are in accordance with the continuous review (s, Q) and (s, S) and periodic review (R, S) model approaches. and (R, s, S) uses Monte Carlo Simulation to determine the quantity to be ordered, purchase time, and stock control period to minimize total inventory costs and increase service levels. Sensitivity testing with parameter adjustments (increasing and decreasing parameters) to determine changes in several input variables that influence the results of the system and to identify the variables that most influence the model output. The results of the simulation show the optimal total inventory costs which are an indicator of the performance of inventory control policies. Simulations were carried out on 10 selected items and obtained an increase in service level and a decrease in total inventory costs. The simulation results using the continuous review model resulted in a decrease in total inventory costs on average of Rp82,127,927 and an increase of 2.3% in service level value. Meanwhile, the simulation results using the periodic review model resulted in a decrease in total inventory costs on average of Rp93,088,330 and an increase in service level value of 3%. For components of critical equipment that have been determined from the criticality level assessment, an analysis of the optimal purchase quantity is carried out using the reliability age replacement method by finding the optimal age interval for the equipment.
