Abstract

Conveyor adalah jenis perangkat mekanik yang digunakan untuk mentransportasikan barang atau material dalam jarak yang relatif jauh secara horizontal, miring, atau vertical. Conveyor memiliki berbagai macam kegunaan salah satunya yaitu digunakan sebagai sarana untuk melakukan sortir. PT. Hikari Teknologi Indonesia merupakan sebuah perusaahan yang bergerak dalam bidang pembuatan alat sortir kualitas kelapa yang bagus dan tidak bagus berdasarkan diameter dan dimensi kelapa secara mekanik atau dengan menggunakan metode contact. Alat sortir yang diproduksi oleh PT. Hikari Teknologi Indonesia merupakan alat sortir yang sistem sortir masih menggunakan sistem manual dan tidak terdapat kontrol kecepatan hanya menggunakan percepatan gravitasi pada alat sortir sehingga menyebabkan kesalahan dalam melakukan sortir kualitas kelapa dan kelapa mengalami kerusakan. Dengan demikian diperlukan pengembangan yaitu Sistem Kontrol Penggerak Conveyor Berbasis Perbandingan Jumlah Kelapa. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode kuantitatif. Metode kuantitatif digunakan dalam pengambilan nilai uji parameter dari sensor rotary encoder. Dalam pengontrolan kecepatan conveyor menggunakan Variable Speed Drive yang akan dirancang menggunakan algoritma PID guna meminimalisir error yang diperoleh. Perancangan Model PID dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode matematis First Order Plus Dead Time (FOPDT) yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan melakukan tuning PID menggunakan Metode Ziegler-Nichols. Algoritma PID akan diimplementasikan dan dikendalikan oleh Programmabel Logic Controller yang berfungsi sebagai controller dari sistem ini. Informasi umpan balik dari putaran motor akan dibaca melalui rotary encoder, kemudian dikonversi menjadi jumlah putaran oleh PLC dan selanjutnya akan dijadikan nilai pembanding. Penelitian ini diharapkan akan menghasilkan formula PID yang memiliki nilai error steady state dibawah 10%. Selain itu diharapkan system tersebut mampu memiliki kontrol kecepatan yang konstan sehingga sistem sortir mampu memiliki nilai presentase keberhasilan mensortir kelapa sebesar 85%.

A conveyor is a type of mechanical device used to transport goods or materials over relatively long distances horizontally, inclined, or vertically. Conveyors have various uses, one of which is being used as a means for sorting. PT. Hikari Teknologi Indonesia is a company engaged in manufacturing equipment for sorting good and bad quality coconuts based on the diameter and dimensions of coconuts mechanically or using the contact method. Sorting equipment produced by PT. Hikari Teknologi Indonesia is a sorting tool whose sorting system still uses a manual system and there is no speed control, only using acceleration on the sorting tool, which causes errors in sorting the quality of coconuts and the coconuts are damaged. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a conveyor drive control system based on the comparison of the number of coconuts. In this research, quantitative methods were used. Quantitative methods are used to retrieve parameter test values from the rotary encoder sensor. In controlling conveyor speed using a Variable Speed Drive which will be designed using the PID algorithm to minimize the errors obtained. The PID model design was carried out using the First Order Plus Dead Time (FOPDT) mathematical method which was then continued by tuning the PID using the Ziegler-Nichols method. The PID algorithm will be implemented and controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller which functions as the controller of this system. Feedback information from motor rotation will be read via a rotary encoder, then converted into a number of revolutions by the PLC and then used as a comparison value. It is hoped that this research will produce a PID formula that has a stable state error value below 10%. Apart from that, it is hoped that the system will be able to have constant speed control so that the sorting system will be able to have a success percentage value in sorting coconuts of 85%.
