Abstract

Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya proses pemindahan pallet NG(berisikan part defect) dengan total massa 256 kg secara manual. Selain itu, area pemindahan pallet NG juga menjadi lintasan perpindahan dies dari dies inventory ke jalur produksi dengan bantuan overhead crane. Hal ini dinilai kurang aman bagi pekerja yang berada di area tersebut karena beresiko tertimpa dies. Untuk menghindari resiko tersebut, penelitian ini melakukan perancangan cross transfer sebagai solusi dari permasalahan diatas. Cross transfer adalah jenis konveyor yang dirancang khusus untuk mentransfer material dari satu jalur konveyor ke jalur konveyor lainnya yang berpotongan secara horizontal. Pada perancangan ini diawali dengan studi literatur dan observasi lapangan. Setelah itu, dilakukan pengambilan data dan perancangan. Perancangan meliputi perancangan rantai, sproket, motor listrik, poros dan juga bearing. Penelitian ini mendapatkan rancangan cross transfer dengan jenis motor Hyponic Gear Motor dengan daya 7 HP, output reducer motor sebesar 48,3 rpm , rantai&sproket double pitch dengan nomor rantai RF 2100, bahan poros menggunakan AISI 4340 dengan diameter 30 mm dan FYH pillow block ucp 206-19 bearing dengan perkiraan masing-masing umur 7860,5 dan 348978,8 jam kerja.==================================================================================================================The problem raised in this research was motivated by the manual process of moving NG pallets (containing defective parts) with a total mass of 256 kg. Apart from that, the NG pallet transfer area is also a route for moving dies from the dies inventory to the production line with the help of an overhead crane. This is considered unsafe for workers in the area because of the risk of being hit by death. To avoid this risk, this research carried out a cross transfer design as a solution to the above problems. Cross transfer is a type of conveyor specifically designed to transfer material from one conveyor line to another conveyor line that intersects horizontally. This design begins with literature study and field observations. After that, data collection and design are carried out. The design includes designing the chain, sprocket, electric motor, shaft and bearing. This research obtained a cross transfer design with a Hyponic Gear Motor motor type with a power of 7 HP, motor reducer output of 48.3 rpm, double pitch chain & sprocket with chain number RF 2100, shaft material using AISI 4340 with a diameter of 30 mm and FYH pillow block UCP 206 -19 bearings with an estimated life of 7860.5 and 348978.8 working hours respectively
