Abstract

Currently, electric trains are an excellent transportation option due to the fact that these electric trains do not use gasoline fuel and have zero carbon emissions. This is what motivates PT. INKA and other companies to create their own electric trains. PT. INKA is the manufacturer of the electric train named “Kereta Cepat Merah Putih” with a hybrid power source (hybrid control unit). However, based on previous research on PT. INKA's electric trains, an analysis can be drawn that upgrades are still needed because, undoubtedly, as we move forward, technology will become more advanced and practical. Therefore, this research has been conducted to replace the previous study that used batteries and a genset with batteries and a Catenary, and it will be simulated using a Petri net diagram. The results of this evaluation and analysis will eventually replace the previous study that has been conducted because the resources used will be more efficient.
