Abstract

Transportasi publik menjadi kebutuhan penting di kota-kota besar, termasuk di lingkungan kampus Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). Salah satu inovasi yang dikembangkan adalah iCar ITS, moda transportasi listrik otonom yang ramah lingkungan. Aplikasi mobile iCar ITS memainkan peran penting dalam menyediakan akses yang nyaman dan efisien bagi pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas antarmuka pengguna (UI) dan pengalaman pengguna (UX) aplikasi tersebut menggunakan metode User-Centered Design (UCD). Proses pengembangan desain antarmuka aplikasi mobile iCar ITS dilakukan melalui tiga iterasi, masing-masing melibatkan evaluasi sumatif dan formatif, serta evaluasi heuristik. Pada iterasi pertama, penilaian System Usability Scale (SUS) mencapai 83, menurun menjadi 77.5 pada iterasi kedua, dan meningkat signifikan menjadi 88.75 pada iterasi ketiga setelah perbaikan dilakukan. Penggunaan metode UCD memungkinkan peneliti untuk memusatkan perhatian pada preferensi dan ekspektasi pengguna, sehingga menghasilkan antarmuka yang lebih intuitif dan interaktif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif dalam pengembangan aplikasi mobile iCar ITS dan teknologi transportasi publik otonom secara umum.

Public transportation is a critical need in major cities, including at the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) campus. One of the innovations developed is iCar ITS, an environmentally friendly autonomous electric transportation mode. The iCar ITS mobile application plays a crucial role in providing convenient and efficient access for users. This study aims to improve the quality of the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the application using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method. The development process of the iCar ITS mobile application interface design was conducted through three iterations, each involving summative and formative evaluations, as well as heuristic evaluations. In the first iteration, the System Usability Scale (SUS) score was 83, decreased to 77.5 in the second iteration, and significantly increased to 88.75 in the third iteration after improvements were made. The use of the UCD method allowed the researchers to focus on user preferences and expectations, resulting in a more intuitive and interactive interface. This study is expected to contribute positively to the development of the iCar ITS mobile application and autonomous public transportation technology in general.
