Abstract

Agrikultur berperan penting dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi dan daya saing sektor dengan tantangan semakin kompleks seperti perubahan iklim dan kebutuhan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Dalam mengatasi tantangan tersebut, konsep sustainable agriculture telah mendapatkan popularitas seiring dengan pemahaman yang meningkat mengenai pembangunan berkelanjutan secara keseluruhan. Mengingat peran kritisnya dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi dan daya saing sektor, peningkatan produktivitas dan efisiensi di sektor agrikultur menjadi tujuan utama di banyak negara. Pendekatan DEA adalah metode populer yang digunakan untuk mengevaluasi efisiensi unit-unit yang sebanding dan menganalisis kinerja sektor agrikultur berdasarkan berbagai input dan output. Penelitian ini melakukan analisis bibliometrik dan konten terhadap 118 publikasi dari database Scopus dari tahun 2001 hingga 2024 untuk mengkaji efisiensi dalam sustainable agriculture dengan menggunakan metode Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Analisis ini mencakup berbagai aspek efisiensi seperti technical efficiency, allocative efficiency, economic efficiency, dan eco-efficiency, dengan fokus pada sustainable agriculture. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi sektor-sektor utama dalam agrikultur seperti pertanian, peternakan, perikanan dan akuakultur, serta kehutanan. Dengan menggunakan analisis bibliometrik, studi ini mengungkapkan kontribusi utama dari berbagai negara dan penulis dalam bidang ini, dan mengidentifikasi kesenjangan penelitian serta tren yang ada. Selain itu, analisis konten yang sistematis digunakan untuk menelaah berbagai aspek terkait efisiensi dalam sustainable agriculture, termasuk model dan pendekatan DEA, jenis-jenis efisiensi, pilar keberlanjutan, dan sektor agrikultur yang terlibat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan area-area kritis yang belum banyak diteliti dan dapat dijadikan fokus penelitian masa depan, mencakup topik-topik seperti sustainability, environmental impact, crop production, technical efficiency, alternative agriculture, farming system, life cycle, energy efficiency, agricultural production, dan decision making. Penelitian ini mengakhiri dengan rekomendasi untuk studi mendatang untuk menggunakan kesenjangan yang telah teridentifikasi, memanfaatkan basis data jurnal yang lebih luas, dan memanfaatkan software yang lebih canggih untuk analisis data yang lebih dalam.==================================================================================================================Agriculture plays an important role in economic growth and sector competitiveness with increasingly complex challenges such as climate change and the need for sustainable development. In addressing these challenges, the concept of sustainable agriculture has gained popularity along with a growing understanding of sustainable development as a whole. Given its critical role in economic growth and sector competitiveness, improving productivity and efficiency in the agricultural sector is a key objective in many countries. The DEA approach is a popular method used to evaluate the efficiency of comparable units and analyze the performance of the agricultural sector based on various inputs and outputs. This study conducted a bibliometric and content analysis of 118 publications from the Scopus database from 2001 to 2024 to assess efficiency in sustainable agriculture using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. The analysis covers various aspects of efficiency such as technical efficiency, allocative efficiency, economic efficiency, and eco-efficiency, with a focus on sustainable agriculture. This research explores key sectors in agriculture such as farming, animal husbandry, fisheries and aquaculture, and forestry. Using bibliometric analysis, this study reveals the main contributions of different countries and authors in this field, and identifies research gaps and trends. In addition, systematic content analysis was used to examine various aspects related to efficiency in sustainable agriculture, including DEA models and approaches, types of efficiency, sustainability pillars, and the agricultural sectors involved. The results indicate critical areas that have not been widely researched and could be the focus of future research, including topics such as sustainability, environmental impact, crop production, technical efficiency, alternative agriculture, farming systems, life cycle, energy efficiency, agricultural production, and decision making. The study concludes with recommendations for future studies to use the identified gaps, utilize a wider journal database, and utilize more sophisticated software for deeper data analysis.
