Abstract
PT. PLN Indonesia Power PLTA Wonogiri merupakan salah satu Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Air (PLTA) memanfaatkan ketinggian dan kecepatan air. Air dialirkan untuk menggerakkan runner, dari turbin energi mekanik di transmisikan ke generator melalui shaft. Supaya shaft berputar terhadap sumbunya, maka di perlukan elemen mesin berupa journal bearing. Karena adanya gesekan di dalam komponen, sehingga diperlukan sistem pendinginan pada journal bearing. Sistem pendingin dirancang untuk mengurangi panas, dengan fungsi utama mentransfer panas dan mempertahankan engine pada temperatur standart untuk mencegah overheating. Pada sistem pendinginan, diperlukan komponen untuk mensirkulasikan fluida kerjanya yang berupa pompa sentrifugal dengan fungsi sebagai peningkat tekanan untuk mencapai tekanan dan kapasitas tertentu. Namun pada kenyataan pompa eksisting yang digunakan tekanan dan kapasitanya tidak tercapai, sehingga diperlukan perancangan pompa dengan spesifikasi yang sesuai.
Tahapan pada tugas akhir ini meliputi : 1). Menghitung Head efektif pada instalasi pompa, 2). Melakukan perancangan impeller yang sesuai dengan pompa, 3). Melakukan perancangan volute. 4). Menghitung pasak dan bantalan, 5). Membandingkan rancangan pompa dengan pompa yang ada dipasaran, 6). Memilih pompa sentrifugal sesuai kebutuhan.
Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan Head efektif instalasi (Heff) adalah sebesar 15,66 m dengan kapasitas 6,3 m3/jam untuk fluida air maka dipilih EBARA PUMP dengan tipe 50x40 FSS4HA 51.5 dengan putaran 1500 RPM, inlet/outlet diameter 50/40 mm. Dari hasil rancangan impeller maka di dapatkan diameter shaft (Dsh) 24 mm, diameter inlet sudu (D1) 115 mm, diameter outlet sudu (D2) 210 mm, sudut kelengkungan sudu inlet (β_1) 17°, sudut kelengkungan sudu outlet (β_2 ) 25°C, lebar sudu inlet (b1) 22 mm, lebar sudu outlet (b2) 14 mm, dan jumlah sudu (z) 8 buah.

PT PLN Indonesia Power PLTA Wonogiri is one of the Hydroelectric Power Plants utilizing the height and speed of water. Water is flowed to drive the runner, from the turbine the mechanical energy is transmitted to the generator through the shaft. In order for the shaft to rotate on its axis, it requires a machine element in the form of a journal bearing. Because of the friction in the component, a cooling system is needed on the journal bearing. The cooling system is designed to reduce heat, with the main function of transferring heat and maintaining the engine at a standard temperature to prevent overheating. In the cooling system, a component is needed to circulate the working fluid in the form of a centrifugal pump with a function as a pressure booster to reach a certain pressure and capacity. However, in reality the existing pump used pressure and capacity is not achieved, so it is necessary to design a pump with appropriate specifications.
The stages of this final project include: 1). Calculating the effective head in the pump installation, 2). Designing an impeller that is suitable for the pump, 3). Performing volute design. 4). Calculating pegs and bearings, 5). Comparing the pump design with the pump in the market, 6). Selecting a centrifugal pump as needed.
Based on the calculation of the effective head of installation (Heff) is 15.66 m with a capacity of 6.3 m3 / h for water fluid, EBARA PUMP is selected with type 50x40 FSS4HA 51.5 with a rotation of 1500 RPM, inlet / outlet diameter 50/40 mm. From the impeller design results, the shaft diameter (Dsh) 24 mm, blade inlet diameter (D1) 115 mm, blade outlet diameter (D2) 210 mm, inlet blade curvature angle (β1) 17°, outlet blade curvature angle (β2) 25°, inlet blade width (b1) 22 mm, outlet blade width (b2) 14 mm, and number of blades (z) 8 pieces.
