Abstract

Hidroponik berasal dari bahasa Yunani, kata hidro yang memiliki arti air dan kata ponos yang memiliki kata kerja atau tenaga. Sehingga hidroponik sendiri dapat dikatakan sebagai teknik budidaya tanaman yang menggunakan air sebagai media utama. Ada beberapa jenis proses distribusi air pada sistem hidroponik antara lain NFT (Nutrient Film Technique), DWC (Deep water Culture), Aeroponik, Wick, Ebb dan Flow. Salah satu tumbuhan yang banyak dibudidayakan dengan sistem hidroponik yaitu pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.), pakcoy dapat tumbuh baik di daerah dataran rendah. Pertanian sistem hidroponik banyak dijadikan alternatif dan inovasi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sayuran dengan ketersediaan lahan yang semakin sempit. Terdapat pengembangan sistem hidroponik dengan pemanfaatan lahan serta air yang lebih sedikit yaitu hidroponik vertikultur. Sehingga dilakukan penelitian kali ini dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan penggunaan metode otomasi dan metode manual, mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi nutrisi dan pengaruh pemantauan nilai pH, water level, suhu dan kelembapan. Pada penelitian ini dibuat sistem hidroponik vertikultur metode otomasi dengan parameter pH, TDS, suhu air, suhu dan kelembapan lingkungan yang dapat dilakukan pemantauan dan kontrol melalui IoT Blynk. Pada kedua metode dilakukan pengamatan pertumbuhan fisik panjang batang, panjang daun, dan lebar daun pakcoy. Dari penelitian yang sudah dilakukan diketahui metode otomasi lebih unggul dengan dibuktikan persentase ketercapaian pertumbuhan panjang batang sebesar 92,6% dibuktikan panjang batang mencapai 2,1 cm, panjang daun pakcoy sebesar 92,6% dibuktikan panjang daun mencapai 4,2 cm dan lebar daun mencapai nilai sempurna 100% dibuktikan lebar daun yang mencapai 2,5 cm.

Hydroponics comes from the Greek, the word hydro which means water and the word ponos which means action or energy. So hydroponics itself can be said to be a plant cultivation technique that uses water as the main medium. There are several types of water distribution processes in hydroponic systems, including NFT (Nutrient Film Technique), DWC (Deep water Culture), Aeroponics, Wick, Ebb and Flow. One of the plants that is widely cultivated using a hydroponic system is pak choy (Brassica rapa L.), pak choy can grow well in lowland areas. Many hydroponic farming systems are used as alternatives and innovations to meet vegetable needs with increasingly limited land availability. There is the development of a hydroponic system that uses less land and water, namely verticulture hydroponics. So this research was carried out with the aim of analyzing the differences in the use of automated methods and manual methods, knowing the effect of nutrient concentration and the effect of monitoring pH values, water levels, temperature and humidity. In this research, an automated verticulture hydroponic system was created with the parameters pH, TDS, water temperature, environmental temperature and humidity which can be monitored and controlled via IoT Blynk. In both methods, physical growth of stem length, leaf length and leaf width of pak choy was observed. From the research that has been carried out, it is known that the automation method is superior, as proven by the percentage of achievement of stem length growth of 92,6%, proven by the stem length reaching 2,1 cm, pakchoy leaf length of 92,6%, proven by the leaf length reaching 4,2 cm, and leaf width reaching a perfect value of 100%, proven by the leaf width which reaches 2,5 cm.
