Abstract

Perancangan desain UI/UX menjadi aspek penting dalam menjamin kepuasan user saat menggunakan sebuah sistem. Desain yang baik tidak hanya mempertimbangkan tampilannya saja, tetapi juga mempertimbangkan kebutuhan dan feedback dari user selama proses perancangan. Salah satu metode yang bisa diterapkan adalah metode design thinkingyang merupakan metode untuk memahami kebutuhan user secara mendalam dan merancang solusi yang inovatif. Namun, penting untuk memastikan bahwa desain yang dihasilkan mematuhi prinsip usability. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan metode heuristic evaluation untuk mengevaluasi kesesuaian UI/UX berdasarkan dari prinsip-prinsip usability heuristics. Dengan menerapkan metode heuristic evaluation, diharapkan dapat menilai desain pada sistem yang sudah ada dengan mempertimbangkan prinsip-prinsip usability heuristics. Kemudian, dengan melakukan perancangan desain UI/UX menggunakan metode design thinking, diharapkan dapat merancang solusi yang inovatif sesuai dengan kebutuhan user. Hasil penelitian yang menggunakan kedua metode tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai dari 72% menjadi 81% yang termasuk kategori “excellent” berdasarkan skala adjective rating.

Designing a UI/UX is critical in ensuring user satisfaction when using a system. Good design does not only consider appearance but also considers user needs and feedback during the design process. One method that can be applied is the design thinking method, which is a method for understanding user needs in-depth and designing innovative solutions. However, ensuring that the resulting design complies with usability principles is essential. Therefore, a heuristic evaluation method is needed to evaluate the usability of the UI/UX based on the principles of usability heuristics. By applying the heuristic evaluation method, it is hoped that we can assess the design of existing systems by considering the principles of usability heuristics. Then, doing the UI/UX design using the design thinking method which is expected to be able to design innovative solutions according to user needs. The research results using these two methods show an increase in scores from 72% to 81%, included in the "excellent" category based on the adjective rating scale.
