Abstract

Hotel menjadi salah satu bagian dari sektor pariwisata yang memiliki potensi dalam meningkatkan perekonomian daerah. Sebuah persaingan pada industri perhotelan saat ini semakin ketat sehingga menyebabkan banyaknya hotel lama yang tertinggal dengan hotel modern. Hotel modern dituntut menciptakan pengalaman menginap yang memuaskan dengan memberikan kesejahteraan dan kenyamanan bagi para pengunjung. Fasilitas-fasilitas yang disediakan menjadi kunci dari sebuah hotel untuk menarik pengunjung. Seiring berjalannya waktu fungsi dari sebuah hotel meluas, yang saat ini hotel digunakan sebagai staycation. Staycation sendiri memiliki tujuan yaitu melakukan pemulihan yang dilakukan di lingkungan yang mendukung. Termasuk Hotel Agas Internasional Solo sebagi hotel lama yang beroperasi pada tahun 1990-an sebagai hotel bintang 3, kini mulai tertinggal oleh hotel-hotel modern yang ada di Kota Solo.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi Design Thinking, dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Fokusan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengkaji sebuah solusi dari permasalahan-permasalahan yang ada pada Hotel Agas Internasional Solo sehingga ditemukan sebuah konsep Wellness Design. Konsep Wellness Design yang akan diaplikasian memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan pengunjung dalam segi pencahayaan, sirkulasi, dan keergonomisan furnitur. Selain itu, konsep ini akan membantu Hotel Agas Internasional Solo dalam meningkatkan eksistensi hotel.
Konsep yang diterapkan pada interior Hotel Agas Internasional Solo dilakukan kombinasi antara Wellness Design dan kontemporer untuk memberikan kesan modern dan dapat menarik pengunjung dengan penerapan elemen-elemen modern. Pengaplikasian Wellness Design difokuskan pada aspek pencahayaan alami, penggunaan material yang ramah lingkungan, sirkulasi yang memadai bagi seluruh kaum, dan juga kenyamanan pada furnitur (ergonomis furnitur).

Hotels are one part of the tourism sector that has the potential to improve the regional economy. A competition in the hotel industry is currently getting tougher, causing many old hotels to be replaced by modern hotels. Modern hotels are required to create a satisfying stay by providing welfare and comfort for visitors. The facilities provided are the key to a hotel to attract visitors. Over time the function of a hotel expands, which is currently used as a staycation. Staycation has the meaning of doing recovery which is carried out in a supportive environment. Hotel Agas International Solo as an old hotel that operated in the 1990s as a 3-star hotel, is now starting to be left behind by modern hotels in Solo City.
This research uses Design Thinking methodology, by conducting observations, interviews, and literature studies. The focus of this research is to examine a solution to the problems that exist in the Solo International Agas Hotel so that a Wellness Design concept is found. The Wellness Design concept that will be applied has the aim of increasing visitor comfort in terms of lighting, circulation, and furniture ergonomics. In addition, this concept will help Hotel Agas International Solo in increasing the existence of the hotel.
The concept applied to the interior of Agas International Hotel Solo is a combination of Wellness Design and contemporary to give a modern impression and can attract visitors with the application of modern elements. The application of Wellness Design focuses on aspects of natural lighting, the use of environmentally friendly materials, adequate circulation for all people, and comfort in furniture (ergonomic furniture).
