Abstract

Indonesia is the country with the largest number of masjids in the world, with approximately
800.000 masjids all around Indonesia. The provinces with the most masjids are West Java with
58.979 masjids. In Indonesia, Masjids are experiencing rapid development, both in the form of
buildings and as well as its function and role. A Floating Masjid has been introduced as part of
the ongoing construction of the Museum International Sejarah Nabi Muhammad in Ancol. The
goal is to draw tourists and enhance their religious tourism experience. It is hoped that the
results of this Final Project can be useful as a reference in developing tourism and the creative
economy in the capital city of DKI Jakarta, which is oriented towards developing a quality, and
sustainable tourism industry. The payload of this Floating Masjid is the weight of the number
of visitors, as well as the area of the facilities that will be provided for the visitors themselves.
After obtaining the payload amount. The main dimensions are then determined based on the
payload area. Various technical calculations are conducted, including wight calculations,
stability calculations, trim calculations, and freeboard calculations. After the technical
calculations, the design phases follow, including creating the Lines Plan, General Arrangement,
Safety Plan, and 3D Model. Garbage and sewage management is also conducted. The
determination of mooring system is planned to ensure the stability and fixed posistion in the
designated location. As the cost calculations including building and operational cost. Resulting
in LoA = 24 meter, B = 24 meter, H = 4 meter, T = 1.6 meter, with the capacity of 254 visitors
and 29 crew. The mooring system used for this Floating Masjid is Spud Mooring. Building and
operational costs were also calculated with a total construction cost of Rp 47.245.795.449 with
operational cost of Rp 23.824.337.274.
