Abstract

he human need for access to personal health causes disruption that occurs in a structured and massive manner to obtain easy, effective, and efficient access. In the domestic industry, increasing human awareness of personal care and health is a good opportunity to run a business and based on 2023 the cosmetics industry in Indonesia will grow by 21.9% and can be stated as highly competitive market. One of the companies that related to this highly competitive industry are PT. Dermaga Langgeng Sejahtera. PT Dermaga Langgeng Sejahtera is a company operating in the personal care industry, specifically as a manufacturer and service. To overcome the competitive market conditions, PT Dermaga Sejahtera needs a business excellence strategy and performance measurement system to keep updated and monitored overall business process and operational activities. The result can be obtained by formulating strategy based on internal and external factors evaluation, implementing strategy, and evaluating strategy. On this research, the business excellence framework will be used as main input for internal evaluation that will be expected to create a strategy with business excellence background and will be grouped with Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework to overcome the highly competitive market. The result are the strategic objectives at the corporate level for PT Dermaga Langgeng Sejahtera are designed based on the general objectives, results of environmental analysis, and formulation of alternative strategies in the previous stage. The balanced scorecard was chosen as the performance measurement system used, obtaining a total of 11 strategic objectives divided into four BSC perspectives, namely finance, customers, internal business processes, and learning & growth. For the financial perspective, there are two strategic objectives, for the customer perspective there are three strategic objectives, for the internal business process perspective there are three strategic objectives, and for the learning & growth perspective there are three strategic objectives. For the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for achieving and monitoring the strategic objectives, there are 26 KPI’s that can be maintained by PT Dermaga Langgeng Sejahtera.
