Abstract

The patriarchal cultural system in society forces each individual, especially women, not to have a role that is much higher than a man. The impact of this culture is to provide space for criminal behavior, especially those that often occur to women, one of which has an impact is the number of sufferers of Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD). Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) sufferers need the right environmental conditions and support physically and psychologically, but what often happens is that the surrounding environment becomes a place of fear and discomfort, so that sufferers are increasingly depressed and experience prolonged stress levels. In addition, the negative view of sufferers by the community cannot be avoided anymore. Women's Shelter is presented as a place that can be a psychosocial support for sufferers, this place aims to help mental recovery or rehabilitation, educational support, and prepare the condition of sufferers to return to the social environment, as well as a place to restore public trust in women who have trauma. So that their stigma or negative view of sufferers will decrease over time. The approach and concept raised in the design of this Women's Shelter will consider the characteristics and behavior of sufferers which will then be combined using the Feminism Architecture and Healing Environment approaches, with the aim of creating a container and space that suits their needs and is comfortable to use.
