Abstract

The Semirejo dam has significant water availability potential from the Gembong reservoir and Tamansari pond, which can enhance farmers' profits if the crop yield in the highland areas is optimal. This research aims to provide alternative planting patterns, assess water availability, and calculate the Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) of crop yields to plan for high-profit planting strategies. This study utilizes secondary data, processed using Excel Solver and Cropwat 8.0. The analysis results indicate that the alternative planting pattern for Semirejo Kiri yields Rp10,948,937,330, while Semirejo Kanan yields Rp12,475,761,063. There is a water deficit of 67.28 l/s in October I and 142.86 l/s in October II for Semirejo Kanan. For Semirejo Kiri, the water deficit is 45.56 l/s in October I and 123.4 l/s in October II. However, after changing the planting patterns and area adjustments, water needs can be met with a factor of K > 1. The water balance projection for 2035 shows a surplus for Semirejo Kanan of 1,047.4 l/s in MT I, 4,137.7 l/s in MT II, and 2,724.8 l/s in MT III, while Semirejo Kiri has a surplus of 854.8 l/s in MT I, 4,354.1 l/s in MT II, and 3,235.1 l/s in MT III. The existing Benefit Cost Ratio for Kanan is 4.7 and for Kiri is 2.8; after optimization, the value for Semirejo Kanan increases to 5.7, a rise of 21.4%, and for Kiri, it increases to 3.2, an increase of 15.3%.
