Abstract
proses produksi salah satu benda yaitu Pillow Support.
pengerjaan benda Pillow Support.

PPIC is a process used by companies to plan and control production and inventory to ensure
that products are available at the right time and in the right quantity. This research is based on
the author's experience during an internship at CV. Ultra Engineering, where there was an issue
with the timeliness of the production process for one item, the Pillow Support. In this study,
data collection before and after optimization was conducted using interviews, where the author
interviewed operators at various POS (points of sale) involved in the production of Pillow
Support. This method was chosen due to challenges faced by CV. Ultra Engineering during the
study, including high order volumes and the fact that Pillow Support production was not
ongoing at the time. Therefore, the author opted for interviews and also used other methods in
this study, such as median analysis and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results indicated
that the optimization of the Pillow Support production time could be achieved by modifying
the production flow, reducing the time from 185 minutes to 152 minutes per item. Additionally,
the author identified a key cause of delays: the introduction of urgent items into the production
process at several POS, which required halting the production of Pillow Support and created
bottlenecks.
