Abstract
Pohon pada kawasan kampus ITS memiliki nilai penting pada fungsi ekologi, seperti penghasil oksigen dan penyerapan air didalam tanah. Pohon juga mempunyai nilai estetika dan berperan sebagai peneduh serta meredam kebisingan. Penanam pohon pada area kampus ITS merupakan penerapan konsep Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH). Kawasan Graha ITS merupakan salah satu gedung serbaguna yang dimiliki ITS dengan memiliki banyak pohon di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menginventarisasi jenis dan tingkat kesehatan pohon pada kawasan Graha ITS sebagai bentuk pencegahan adanya pohon tumbang yang dapat mengangggu kegiatan di kawasan tersebut. Tanaman yang diamati berupa tanaman habitus pohon dengan diameter batang >10 cm yang diukur pada Diameter at Breast Height (DBH) dan tinggi >130 cm. Identifikasi kesehatan pohon dilakukan dengan metode Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) yaitu dengan mendeksripsikan kerusakan fisik pohon. Kerusakan pohon dideksripsikan, meliputi lokasi kerusakan, tipe kerusakan, dan tingkat keparahan dari akar hingga daun pada level individu tanaman. Hasil pengamatan dimasukkan ke dalam Nilai Indeks Kerusakan (NIK) pohon untuk digolongkan menjadi empat kelas kesehatan pohon, yaitu kelas sehat, kerusakan ringan, kerusakan sedang, dan kerusakan berat. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 108 pohon dari 12 jenis spesies, 12 genus, dan 8 familia. Dari seluruh pohon yang diamati, 44 pohon mengalami kerusakan ringan dengan keterangan sehat.

Trees in the ITS campus area have important values in ecological functions, such as oxygen generation and water absorption in the soil. Trees also have aesthetic value and act as shade and reduce noise. Tree planting in the ITS campus area is an application of the concept of Green Open Space (RTH). Graha ITS area is one of the multipurpose buildings owned by ITS by having many trees around it. The physical condition of the tree that is not good can interfere with the event held at Graha ITS. This study was conducted to inventory the type and level of tree health in the ITS Graha area as a form of prevention of fallen trees that can interfere with activities in the area. The research was conducted in the area around Graha ITS. Sample observation is carried out by census method, which is analyzing all existing trees. The plants observed were habitus trees with a trunk diameter of >10 cm measured at Diameter at Breast Height (DBH) and height of >130 cm. Identification of tree health is carried out by the Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) method, namely by describing the physical damage to trees. Tree damage is described, including the location of the damage, the type of damage, and the severity from root to leaf at the individual plant level. The observations are included in the damage index value of trees to be classified into four tree health classes, namely healthy class, light damage, moderate damage, and heavy damage. The research results showed that there were 108 trees from 12 species, 12 genera and 8 families. Of all the trees observed, 44 trees were damaged and were declared healthy.
