Abstract
Penelitian ini mengusulkan konsep perancangan berkelanjutan di area permukiman kumuh Surabaya Timur, khususnya di Pesisir Kenjeran, Kelurahan Kenjeran, dengan mengintegrasikan teori Sustainable Urbanism, Transitional Urbanism, dan metode Incremental Housing. Tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan dan kehidupan masyarakat melalui pembangunan wilayah yang berkelanjutan, inklusif, dan adaptif. Dengan pendekatan partisipatif dan berkelanjutan, diharapkan konsep ini dapat memberikan akses yang lebih baik terhadap infrastruktur dasar, ruang terbuka hijau, dan fasilitas umum, serta solusi perumahan yang terjangkau dan dapat berkembang sesuai kebutuhan masyarakat. Melalui integrasi teori dan metode yang beragam, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan panduan perancangan holistik untuk pembaruan permukiman kumuh di Surabaya Timur. ==============================================================================================================================
This research proposes an sustainable design concept in the slum area of East Surabaya, particularly in Kenjeran Coastal area, Kenjeran Village, by integrating the theories of Sustainable Urbanism, Transitional Urbanism, and the Incremental Housing method. The aim is to improve environmental quality and community life through sustainable, inclusive, and adaptive urban development. With a participatory and sustainable approach, it is hoped that this concept can provide better access to basic infrastructure, green open spaces, and public facilities, as well as affordable and evolving housing solutions tailored to the community's needs. Through the integration of diverse theories and methods, this research aims to provide a holistic design guide for the revitalization of slum settlements in East Surabaya.
