Abstract

Imunitas merupakan bagian penting dalam sistem kerja tubuh manusia karena berperan sebagai agen pelindung tubuh dari berbagai patogen yang dapat beresiko terhadap kesehatan. Indonesia sebagai negara beriklim tropis memiliki fenomena musim pancaroba yang tidak dapat dihindari, sedangkan cuaca ekstrem dan perubahan tekanan suhu yang signifikan pada musim ini beresiko melemahkan kekebalan tubuh seseorang, sehingga mudah terkena penyakit. Resiko ini berdampak lebih tinggi terhadap masyarakat usia produktif karena memiliki tingkat aktivitas dan frekuensi bersosialisasi lebih tinggi di luar ruangan, sedangkan kesadaran untuk melindungi diri belum optimal. Upaya edukasi mengenai imunitas di musim pancaroba dapat dimulai dari siswa SMA yang umumnya sudah memasuki usia awal masyarakat produktif dengan menggunakan motion komik sebagai media edukasi yang menarik. Perancangan motion komik ini menggunakan metode studi literatur, studi eksisting, depth interview dengan narasumber ahli dan Dinas Kesehatan Kota Surabaya, serta dilakuka kuesioner terhadap siswa SMA usia 15-18 tahun. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan melakukan studi eksperimental yang nantinya akan dirumuskan sebagai konsep desain motion komik yang kemudian akan dievaluasi oleh narasumber ahli media komik, serta diuji kepada target segmen untuk mengetahui seberapa besar peningkatan pemahaman target segmen terhadap imunitas di musim pancaroba. Perancangan ini menghasilkan motion komik dengan format baca vertical-scrolling sesuai dengan standar LINE Webtoon berupa prototype dimana pada perancangan ini mengeksekusi tiga episode pertama yang membahas imunitas melalui penyakit influenza. Motion diimplementasikan pada panel materi edukasi agar dapat mendemonstrasikan cara kerja sistem imun manusia dengan lebih baik, serta diimplementasikan pada beberapa panel establishment.

Immunity is an important part of the human body's system as it acts as a protective agent from various pathogens that can pose risks to health. Indonesia as a tropical country has an unavoidable transitional season phenomenon, while extreme weather and significant changes in temperature during this season have risks to weaken a person's immune system, making them susceptible to disease. This risk has a higher impact on people of productive age because they have a higher level of activity and frequency of socializing outdoors, while the awareness to protect themselves is not yet optimal. The education of immunity in the transitional season can be started from high school students who generally have entered the early age of productive people by using motion comics as an interesting alternative supplementary educational media. This motion comic design used some research methods including literature studies, existing studies, depth interviews with experts and the Surabaya City Health Service, as well as questionnaires for high school students aged 15-18 years. Then the research proceed with conducting an experimental study that will later be formulated as a motion comic design concept which will then be evaluated by comic media expert, and tested on the target segment to find out how much the target segment's understanding of immunity in the transition season has increased. The result is a motion comic with a vertical-scrolling reading format in accordance with LINE Webtoon standards in prototype form where this design executes the first three episodes that discuss immunity through influenza. Motion is implemented on educational material panels to better demonstrate how the human immune system works, and is implemented on several establishment panels.
