Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kinerja dan biaya antara mesin pembakaran 4 HP dan mesin tempel listrik 3 kW. Penelitian dilakukan dengan eksperimen untuk mengukur kecepatan aliran air, konsumsi energi, dan getaran dari kedua jenis mesin tersebut. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa mesin listrik dengan RPM 1500 dan baling-baling 722.22 mencapai kecepatan air rata-rata 0.30 m/s, sedangkan mesin bensin dengan RPM dan baling-baling yang sama mencapai kecepatan 0.17 m/s. Dalam uji coba laut dengan pitch baling-baling 12 inci, mesin listrik mencapai kecepatan rata-rata 8 km/jam dengan waktu tempuh 4.58 menit untuk jarak 1 km, sementara mesin bensin mencapai kecepatan rata-rata 6.5 km/jam dengan waktu tempuh 6.41 menit. Konsumsi energi menunjukkan bahwa mesin listrik mengonsumsi 4.1 AH dalam 10 menit, sedangkan mesin bensin mengonsumsi 0.064 liter bahan bakar dalam waktu yang sama. dimana untuk perbandingan setara dengan dikonversikan menjadi konsumsi energi, mesin listrik menghasilkan 945 Kj, sedangkan mesin bensin menghasilkan 26.040 Kj, pada putaran 1500 RPM.Analisis biaya menunjukkan bahwa biaya operasional harian mesin listrik adalah sekitar Rp. 6,069.41 dan tahunan sekitar Rp. 778,879, sedangkan biaya operasional harian mesin bensin sekitar Rp. 10.680 dan tahunan sekitar around Rp. 2.819.520. Total biaya kepemilikan menunjukkan bahwa mesin listrik, meskipun membutuhkan biaya awal yang besar untuk baterai, lebih hemat biaya operasional dalam jangka panjang dibandingkan mesin bensin.

This study compares the performance and cost of a 4 HP combustion engine and a 3 kW electric outboard engine. Experiments were conducted to measure water flow velocity, energy consumption, and vibration. The electric engine, operating at 1500 RPM with a 722.22 propeller, achieved an average water speed of 0.30 m/s, whereas the combustion engine reached 0.17 m/s under the same conditions. During sea tests with a 12inch propeller pitch, the electric engine attained an average speed of 8 km/h, completing a 1 km distance in 4.58 minutes, while the combustion engine averaged 6.5 km/h, taking 6.41 minutes. Energy consumption analysis revealed the electric engine consumed 4.1 AH in 10 minutes, compared to the combustion engine's 0.064 liters of fuel. where for a comparison equivalent to converted into energy consumption, an electric engine produces 945 Kj, while a gasoline engine produces 26,040 Kj, at 1500 RPM.Cost analysis indicated the daily operating cost for the electric engine was approximately Rp. 6,069.41, with an annual cost of Rp. 778,879. In contrast, the combustion engine's daily and annual costs were around Rp. 10,680 and Rp. 2,819,520, respectively. Despite the higher initial cost of batteries, the total cost of ownership for electric engines proved to be more economical in the long run compared to combustion engines.
