Abstract

High-speed craft vessels (HSC) are a significant choice in overcoming increasingly complex maritime transportation challenges. However, the optimization of the performance of HSC ships is a crucial aspect, influenced by several factors such as design, operational conditions, and the environment. Therefore, the comparative analysis of the performance of HSC ships, especially through regression approaches based on operational data, becomes essential to improve operational efficiency and safety. This study explores the relationship between "Volumetric Displacement1/3" with five ship parameters, namely LPP (Length Between Perpendiculars), Breadth (Width), Draft (Water Depth), Height (Ship Height), and CB (Coefficient Block) through Regression Analysis simple linear. From the results of the study, it was concluded that "volumetric displacement1/3" is strongly associated with LPP, Breadth, and Block Coefficient, showing a high positive correlation. However, "Volumetric displacement1/3" also shows a pretty strong relationship with the draft and height, although with the direction of negative relationships. These findings provide an important view for the design and optimization of HSC ships, allowing stakeholders to predict and regulate the dimensions of the ship more accurately. This research-based recommendation includes aspects of volumetric displacement measurement and monitoring, dimensional restrictions, stability, and security standards, as well as responsive propulsion and control systems. It is hoped that the application of comprehensive and strict regulations can improve the safety and operational efficiency of HSC ships while minimizing the risk of accidents and negative impacts on the environment.
