Abstract
This study addresses the fluctuating profits of PT X due to high operational costs in resource management. The goal is to develop a business strategy to enhance the company's competitive advantage using Fred David's strategy formulation framework, involving input, matching, and decision-making stages. Internal and external factors were evaluated using IFE and EFE matrices, revealing six strengths, five weaknesses, six opportunities, and seven threats. The IFE matrix scored 2.85, indicating strong internal management, while the EFE matrix scored 2.49, showing adequate handling of external factors. The matching stage used TOWS and IE matrices to identify eight strategic alternatives, focusing on market penetration and product development. The decision-making stage employed the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM), recommending the development of AMDK (bottled drinking water). Five-year financial projections indicated that implementing the AMDK strategy would increase net profits and positively impact financial performance through various ratios such as net profit margin, gross profit margin, operating profit margin, return on assets, and return on equity. Although some ratios showed negative impacts, they remained within acceptable ranges and improved over time. In conclusion, the AMDK development strategy is viable for PT X, leveraging internal strengths and external opportunities to enhance performance and financial stability.
