Abstract

Laporan ini mengeksplorasi perancangan dua rumah tinggal, Rumah Ambang di Probolinggo dan AT House di Surabaya, dengan penerapan 13 kompetensi arsitek dalam setiap tahap perancangannya. Kompetensi tersebut mencakup kemampuan analisis konteks, perencanaan ruang, pemahaman struktur dan konstruksi, serta penerapan prinsip desain berkelanjutan. Proyek pertama, Rumah Ambang berfokus pada rumah tinggal di Probolinggo yang mengangkat isu terkait keinginan klien untuk memiliki privasi tinggi namun tetap terbuka untuk menerima tamu dengan konsep modern farmhouse. Proyek kedua, AT House berfokus pada rumah tinggal di kawasan Citraland Surabaya, yang memiliki regulasi khusus terkait pembangunan yang harus dipenuhi arsitek untuk merancang rumah sesuai kebutuhan klien dengan menerapkan konsep architecture modern. Setiap tahap perancangan, mulai dari konseptualisasi hingga penyelesaian, dianalisis berdasarkan penerapan masing-masing kompetensi arsitek, yang melibatkan identifikasi kebutuhan klien, studi tapak, pengembangan konsep desain, dan penyusunan detail teknis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemenuhan 13 kompetensi arsitek secara menyeluruh dan sistematis dapat menghasilkan desain rumah tinggal yang estetis, fungsional, berkelanjutan, dan kontekstual dengan lingkungan sekitarnya.

This report explores the design of two residential houses, Rumah Ambang in Probolinggo and AT House in Surabaya, through the application of 13 architectural competencies in each design phase. These competencies include contextual analysis, space planning, understanding of structure and construction, and the implementation of sustainable design principles. The first project, Rumah Ambang, focuses on a residential house in Probolinggo addressing the client's desire for high privacy while remaining open to guests, with a modern farmhouse concept. The second project, AT House, focuses on a residential house in the Citraland area of Surabaya, adhering to specific construction regulations that the architect must meet to design the house according to the client's needs using a modern architecture concept. Each design phase, from conceptualization to completion, is analyzed based on the application of each architectural competency, involving the identification of client needs, site study, concept design development, and preparation of technical details. The results of this study show that the thorough and systematic fulfillment of the 13 architectural competencies can result in residential designs that are aesthetic, functional, sustainable, and contextual with their surroundings.
