Abstract

Stent adalah alat untuk membuka saluran yang menyempit di dalam tubuh manusia. Selain pada jantung, Stent digunakan juga pada saluran yang menghubungkan antara ginjal dan kandung kemih. Alat ini disebut dengan stent ureter. Alat ini digunakan pada pasien yang mengalami penyempitan pada saluran uretera akibat radang usus, tumor, gumpalan darah, batu ginjal, dll. Stent ureter yang banyak digunakan di Indonesia yaitu stent ureter dari produk Ark dan Marflow. Kasus pada penggunaan stent ureter telah ditemukan terutama pada produk Ark. Kasus yang ditemukan yaitu stent terputus ketika sedang dilakukan proses pelepasan. Berbeda dengan produk Marflow, meskipun produk Marflow digunakan dalam jangka waktu panjang tetapi hingga saat ini belum ditemukan kasus kerusakan. Selain itu, saat ini juga masih belum ada produk stent ureter dari dalam negeri. Pada penelitian ini terdapat lima sampel uji yaitu dua produk Ark dan tiga produk Marflow. Dua pengujian dilakukan pada penelitian ini yaitu uji tarik dan Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy atau disingkat FTIR. Uji tarik dilakukan untuk mengetahui tensile strength dan modulus elastisitas. FTIR dilakukan untuk mengetahui material yang digunakan pada lima sampel produk stent ureter. Rancangan pembuatan stent ureter dapat dimulai dari penentuan durasi penggunaan agar dapat disesuaikan dengan material polimer yang digunakan. Stent ureter dengan durasi penggunaan pendek (kurang dari 6 bulan) dapat menggunakan material dasar poliuretan. Sedangkan, pada durasi jangka panjang (lebih dari 6 bulan) dapat menggunakan material dasar silikon. Perbedaan nilai kekuatan tarik dan modulus elastisitas stent ureter tidak signifikan sehingga untuk stent ureter dengan material dasar silikon dapat mengacu pada nilai sifat mekanik Marflow hitam dan untuk stent ureter dengan material dasar poliuretan dapat mengacu pada nilai sifat mekanik Marflow kuning.

A stent is a device to open a narrowed channel in the human body. In addition to the heart, stents are also used in the channel that connects the kidneys and bladder. This tool is called a ureteral stent. This tool is used in patients who experience narrowing of the ureteral tract due to colitis, tumors, blood clots, kidney stones, etc. Ureteral stents that are widely used in Indonesia are ureteral stents from Ark and Marflow products. Cases on the use of ureteral stents have been found, especially on Ark products. The case found was that the stent was disconnected during the removal process. Unlike the Marflow product, although the Marflow product is used for a long period of time, no cases of damage have been found to date. In addition, there are currently no domestic ureteral stent products. In this study there were five test samples, namely two Ark products and three Marflow products. Two tests were carried out in this study, namely tensile tests and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy or abbreviated as FTIR. The tensile test was conducted to determine the tensile strength and modulus of elasticity. FTIR was conducted to determine the material used in five samples of ureteral stent products. The design of ureteral stents can start from determining the duration of use so that it can be adjusted to the polymer material used. Ureteral stents with a short duration of use (less than 6 months) can use polyurethane base material. Whereas, for long-term duration (more than 6 months), silicone-based materials can be used. The difference in tensile strength and modulus of elasticity values of ureteral stents is not significant so that ureteral stents with silicone base material can refer to the black Marflow mechanical property values and ureteral stents with polyurethane base material can refer to the yellow Marflow mechanical property values.
