Abstract

Unit Pengelolaan Informasi Majapahit (PIM) merupakan sebuah media yang cukup prospektif dalam pengenalan sejarah Kerajaan Majapahit yang dapat memenuhi keingintahuan pengunjung melalui media yang atraktif dan interaktif, terutama bagi pengunjung dikalangan usia muda. Permasalahan utama yang menjadi fokus redesain dan penelitian PIM ini adalah rendahnya minat generasi muda untuk mengunjungi PIM, kurangnya ketertarikan dan interaksi pngunjung PIM dengan museum, serta masih dibutuhkannya pengembangan desain interior PIM dalam memberikan kesan bermakna kepada pengunjung akan kejayaan Majapahit dan Indonesia di masa lalu.
Perancangan pada redesain ini menggunakan metodologi design thinking, penelitian ini mengembangkan konsep integrasi budaya dan teknologi yang mencakup elemen estetis, budaya Majapahit, dan teknologi modern seperti hologram, immersive video mapping, dan aughmented reality (AR). Berdasarkan hasil yang didapatkan, redesain interior PIM dengan pendekatan integrasi budaya dan teknologi berhasil menarik minat generasi muda. Desain yang atraktif dan interaktif meningkatkan interaksi pengunjung dengan keterikatan audio, visual, dan sensori. Sementara desain yang bermakna menciptakan kesan yang mendalam dan meningkatkan apresiasi terhadap identitas budaya bangsa Indonesia.

The Pengelolaan Informasi Majapahit (PIM) is a promising medium for introducing the history of the Majapahit Kingdom, capable of satisfying visitors' curiosity through attractive and interactive media, especially for younger audiences. The main issues addressed in the redesign and research of PIM are the low interest of young people in visiting PIM, the lack of visitor engagement and interaction with the museum, and the need for further development of PIM's interior design to provide visitor a meaningful impression of Majapahit’s and Indonesia’s past glory.
This redesign employs the design thinking methodology, developing a concept that integrates culture and technology, incorporating aesthetic elements of Majapahit culture and modern technologies such as holograms, immersive video mapping, and augmented reality (AR). The results indicate that the redesigned PIM interior, with its integrated cultural and technological approach, successfully attracts the interest of the younger generation. The attractive and interactive design enhances visitor interaction through engaging audio, visual, and sensory experiences, while the meaningful design creates a deep impression and increases appreciation for the cultural identity of the Indonesian nation.
