Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan e-book untuk memperkenalkan Bahasa, Aksara, dan Budaya Sunda di kalangan siswa kelas 1–3 SD sebagai upaya mengatasi penurunan kemampuan berbahasa Sunda di generasi muda Jawa Barat akibat globalisasi. Dengan menggunakan metode design thinking, penelitian ini meliputi riset, perancangan, dan uji coba untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas media tersebut. E-book dirancang dengan konten interaktif, seperti cerita, permainan, latihan, serta ilustrasi dan audio pendukung, untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan literasi Bahasa, Aksara, dan Budaya Sunda. Hasil uji coba prototype menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari 90% responden menyukai e-book ini karena sajian yang menarik dan kemudahan dalam proses pembelajaran. Diharapkan e-book ini dapat menjadi alat yang efektif untuk melestarikan dan mempromosikan Bahasa Sunda di kalangan anak-anak.

This research aims to develop an e-book to introduce the Sundanese Language, Script, and Culture among 1st to 3rd grade students as a an effort to address the decline in Sundanese language proficiency among the younger generation in West Java due to globalization. Using a design thinking method, the research includes research, design, and testing to assess the effectiveness of the media. The e-book is designed with interactive content, such as stories, games, exercises, as well as supporting illustrations and audio, to enhance knowledge and literacy in Sundanese Language, Script, and Culture. Prototype testing results show that over 90% of respondents appreciated the e-book for its engaging presentation and ease of learning. It is hoped that this e-book will serve as an effective tool for preserving and promoting the Sundanese Language among children.
