Abstract

Data satelit gravitasi GGMPlus2013 dan data satelit magnetik EMM2017 yang bersifat open source dapat digunakan untuk eksplorasi nikel laterit, salah satunya eksplorasi yang dilakukan di Kabupaten Morowali, Sulawesi Tengah. Pengolahan dan analisis data satelit tersebut menghasilkan peta anomali gravitasi dan magnetik yang dapat dibandingkan dengan peta persebaran nikel laterit dari data bor. Berdasarkan peta-peta tersebut, dilakukan analisis di dua zona yang berbeda, yaitu zona dengan persebaran nikel laterit tipis dan tebal. Di zona dengan persebaran nikel laterit rendah, nilai anomali gravitasi tinggi dengan nilai anomali magnetik rendah. Di zona dengan persebaran nikel laterit tebal, nilai anomali gravitasi rendah dengan nilai anomali magnetik tinggi. Nilai anomali gravitasi yang rendah tersebut dipengaruhi densitas oleh nikel laterit, yaitu limonit dan saprolit yang rendah, yaitu 1,6 gr / cc dan 1,9 gr / cc. Nilai anomali magnetik yang tinggi tersebut dipengaruhi oleh suseptibilitas nikel laterit, yaitu limonit dan saprolit yang tinggi, yaitu 0,0000548 CGS dan 0,0000214 CGS akibat keberadaan unsur - unsur logam di dalamnya.

Open source GGMPlus2013 gravity satellite data and EMM2017 magnetic satellite data can be used for laterite nickel exploration, one of which is exploration carried out in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi. Processing and analysis of satellite data produces gravity and magnetic anomaly maps that can be compared with nickel laterite distribution maps from drill data. Based on these maps, analysis was carried out in two different zones, namely zones with thin and thick nickel laterite distribution. In zones with low nickel laterite distribution, gravity anomaly values are high with low magnetic anomaly values. In zones with thick nickel laterite distribution, the gravity anomaly values are low with high magnetic anomaly values. The low gravity anomaly value is influenced by the low density of nickel laterite, namely limonite and saprolite, namely 1.6 gr / cc and 1.9 gr / cc. The high magnetic anomaly value is influenced by the high susceptibility of nickel laterite, namely limonite and saprolite, namely 0.0000548 CGS and 0.0000214 CGS due to the presence of metallic elements in it.
