Abstract

Sebuah perusahaan produsen filter rokok memantau kualitas produk menggunakan diagram rata-rata pada setiap parameter proses. Namun, pemantauan univariat dinilai kurang komprehensif karena banyaknya karakteristik kualitas yang saling berkorelasi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pemantauan kualitas multivariat. Beberapa diagram pengendali multivariat yang telah dikembangkan termasuk Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (EWMA), Max-MEWMA, Cumulative Sum (CUSUM), Max-Mchart, dan Max-Half-Mchart. Penelitian ini menggunakan diagram Max-MEWMA untuk me-monitoring setiap Shift proses produksi filter rokok. Parameter pengukuran kualitas yang lebih dari satu dan robust terhadap distribusi normal merupakan metode yang penting dalam analisis statistik karena mampu memberikan hasil yang akurat meskipun data tidak mengikuti distribusi normal. Parameter yang diukur terdiri dari circumference, pressure drop dan rounded. Dalam satu hari produksi terdapat 3 Shift. Pada penelitan ini masing-masing Shift akan dilakukan pemantauan sebanyak 2 fase. Fase I menunjukkan pengendalian dengan α sebesar 0,0027 untuk Shift 1, 2, dan 3, diagram terkendali secara statistik setelah melakukan penghapusan pengamatan yang keluar batas kendali atas. Pada fase II, produksi terkendali sesuai spesifikasi perusahaan. Identifikasi variabel penyebab Out of Control pada Shift I, II, dan III menunjukkan bahwa circumference adalah variabel utama yang menyebabkan Out of Control pada fase I. Evaluasi kapabilitas proses multivariat menunjukkan bahwa kualitas produksi filter rokok sudah stabil dengan indeks MCpk memenuhi standar perusahaan, dan indeks MCNpk menunjukkan kapabilitas produksi yang baik untuk setiap Shift. Penelitian ini menyarankan penggunaan diagram Max-MEWMA untuk evaluasi kualitas produksi dan merekomendasikan penambahan karakteristik kualitas filter untuk penelitian selanjutnya guna memberikan gambaran lebih akurat dan tindakan korektif yang lebih efektif.

A cigarette filter manufacturing company monitors product quality using average diagrams on each process parameter. However, univariate monitoring is considered less comprehensive due to the large number of correlated quality characteristics. Therefore, multivariate quality monitoring is required. Some multivariate control charts that have been developed include Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (EWMA), Max-MEWMA, Cumulative Sum (CUSUM), Max-Mchart, and Max-Half-Mchart. This research uses the Max-MEWMA diagram to monitor each Shift of the cigarette filter production process. Quality measurement parameters that are more than one and robust to normal distribution are important methods in statistical analysis because they are able to provide accurate results even though the data does not follow a normal distribution. The measured parameters consist of circumference, pressure drop and rounded. In one production day there are 3 Shifts. In this research, each Shift will be monitored in 2 phases. Phase I shows control with α of 0.0027 for Shifts 1, 2, and 3, the diagram is statistically controlled after removing observations that go outside the upper control limit. In phase II, production is under control according to company specifications. Identification of variables causing Out of Control in Shifts I, II, and III shows that circumference is the main variable causing Out of Control in phase I. Multivariate process capability evaluation shows that the production quality of cigarette filters is stable with the MCpk index meeting the company standard, and the MCNpk index shows good production capability for each Shift. This study suggests the use of Max-MEWMA diagrams for production quality evaluation and recommends adding filter quality characteristics for future research to provide a more accurate picture and more effective corrective actions.
