Abstract

The large demand for gold and the large production of gold mining goods, causing the depletion of gold mining goods in Indonesia. So, further exploration is needed to find out the prospects of gold mining goods at a certain location, one of which uses geophysical exploration. This study aims to identify the subsurface gold mineralization zone in the 'DL' field using resistivity and induced polarization time domain methods by obtaining responses in the form of resistivity and chargeability values at the measurement point. Resistivity and induced polarization data processing using least-square inversion. Based on the results of data processing, the distribution of resistivity values and chargeability values can be divided into three, namely low, medium, and high. The distribution of low resistivity values with a range for resistivity values is 16-36 Ω.m, for the chargeability value range is 2-3 msec. The distribution of medium resistivity values with a resistivity value range is 37 - 71 Ω.m, while the chargeability value range is 4 - 5 msec. In the distribution of high resistivity values with a resistivity value range of 72 - 146 Ω.m, while the chargeability value range is 6 - 10 msec. It was found that there was a zone of gold mineralization zone distribution, and hydrothermal alteration was found in the form of argillic alteration and silicification. It was also found that the distribution direction of the gold mineralization zone was southwest - northeast.
