Abstract
PLTMG (Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mesin Gas) PT. Lamong Energi Indonesia membutuhkan sistem pendingin yang andal untuk mencegah terjadinya overheat pada mesin dan mendinginkan komponen seperti Heat Exchanger dan Intercooler. Untuk mensirkulasi fluida pendingin, maka digunakan pompa centrifugal dengan kapasitas 80 m³/h dan head efektif 34 m. Proyek ini bertujuan merancang volute pompa centrifugal dan melakukan pengujian numerik berdasarkan dimensi impeller yang telah dirancang sebelumnya, dengan diameter outlet 165 mm, diameter inlet 96 mm, berjenis close impeller dengan 8 sudu (backward). Untuk memastikan kesesuaian perhitungan analitis dengan kebutuhan sistem, dilakukan kajian numerik menggunakan software ANSYS dengan model turbulen k-epsilon : realizable. Dimana penulis meyakini bahwa hasil kajian numerik menghasilkan hasil yang lebih mendekati keadaan sebenarnya. Hasil perancangan volute pompa menunjukkan inlet volute 80 mm, outlet volute 65 mm, dan jari-jari kelengkungan dalam volute 86,6 mm. Namun, hasil simulasi numerik impeller dengan diameter 165 mm belum memenuhi target head sistem pendingin PLTMG PT. LEGI yang sebesar 34 m, karena hanya menghasilkan head 30,17 m dengan persen error 11,25%. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan modifikasi dengan memperbesar diameter impeller menjadi 168 mm, berdasarkan iterasi grafik rekomendasi pompa. Perubahan ini menghasilkan head 34,62 m dengan persen error 1,7%, dengan demikian hasil perancangan dan kaji numerik memperlihatkan hasil yang sesuai dengan target kebutuhan sistem pendinginan PLTMG

PLTMG (Gas Engine Power Plant) PT. Lamong Energi Indonesia requires a reliable cooling system to prevent engine overheating and cool components such as Heat Exchangers and Intercoolers. To circulate the cooling fluid, a centrifugal pump with a capacity of 80 m³/h and an effective head of 34 m is used. This project aims to design a centrifugal pump volute and conduct numerical testing based on the previously designed impeller dimensions, with an outlet diameter of 165 mm, an inlet diameter of 96 mm, a closed impeller type with 8 blades (backward). To ensure the suitability of analytical calculations with system requirements, a numerical study was carried out using ANSYS software with a k-epsilon turbulent model: realizable. Where the author believes that the results of the numerical study produce results that are closer to the actual conditions. The results of the pump volute design show an inlet volute of 80 mm, an outlet volute of 65 mm, and a radius of curvature in the volute of 86.6 mm. However, the results of the numerical simulation of the impeller with a diameter of 165 mm have not met the target head of the cooling system of PT. LEGI PLTMG which is 34 m, because it only produces a head of 30.17 m with an error percentage of 11.25%. Therefore, a modification was made by enlarging the impeller diameter to 168 mm, based on the iteration of the pump recommendation graph. This change resulted in a head of 34.62 m with an error percentage of 1.7%, thus the design results and numerical studies showed results that were in accordance with the target needs of the PLTMG cooling system.
