Abstract

Serial evaporator bittern plant pada Lab. Instrument & Control Teknik Instrumentasi ITS sudah dilengkapi dengan alat ukur, namun belum dilengkapi dengan sistem pengendalian laju aliran. Dalam melakukan ekstraksi garam anorganik pada cairan bittern, diperlukan pemanasan dengan panci bertekanan sehingga volume cairan bittern di dalam panci perlu untuk dijaga. Volume cairan bittern ini perlu dijaga agar kalor yang diberikan oleh kompor dapat menaikkan temperature pada evaporator 1 dan evaporator 2, sehingga dalam menjaga volume tersebut melalui pengendalian laju aliran. Hal ini sesuai dengan hukum kesetimbangan energi. Diameter solenoid valve yang telah diketahui sehingga dapat menghitung durasi waktu bukaan valve untuk proses pengaliran sehingga dapat diketahui laju aliran yang lewat. Dengan mengetahui luas penampang evaporator, maka dapat diketahui lama waktu bukaan solenoid valve agar dapat mencapai level tertentu di dalam evaporator. Dalam menjaga volume di dalam evaporator 1 dan evaporator 2, maka diperlukan informasi lain, yaitu pengukuran temperature pada masing-masing evaporator sebagai parameter agar solenoid valve dapat bekerja sehingga dapat mengalirkan cairan bittern dari tangki penampungan menuju evaporator 1, penyamplingan produk evaporator 1, penyaluran bittern dari evaporator 1 ke evaporator 2, dan penyamplingan produk evaporator 2. Berdasarkan pengujian yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan bahwa dalam mengalirkan cairan bittern dari tangki penampungan bittern menuju evaporator 1 sebanyak 2L selama 44s dan didapatkan nilai laju aliran sebesar 0.041 L⁄s. Dalam mengalirkan cairan bittern dari evaporator 1 menuju drain dan menuju evaporator 2 secara bersamaan selama 120 detik, volume yang didapatkan 0,85L dengan laju aliran 0.012 L⁄s dan volume 1,1L dengan laju aliran 0.014 L⁄s. Dalam mengalirkan cairan bittern dari evaporator 2 menuju drain, volume yang didapatkan 0,6L selama waktu 125s dengan laju aliran sebesar 0.006 L⁄s.

Serial evaporator bittern plant at the Lab. Instrument & Control Instrumentation Engineering ITS is already equipped with measuring instruments, but not yet with flow speed control system. In carrying out the extraction of inorganic salts on bittern liquids, heating with a pressurized pot is required so that the volume of bitterne liquids inside the pot needs to beined. The volume of this bittern fluid needs to be preserved so that the heat supplied by the stove can raise the temperature of evaporator 1 and 2 so inining the volume through flow rate control. It's in line with the law of energy balance. The diameter of the solenoid valve is known so that it can calculate the duration of the opening time of the valve for the flow process so that the flow rate is known. By knowing the extent of the evaporator's penetration, it is possible to know the length of time the solenoid valve opens to reach a certain level within the evaporators. In keeping the volume inside evaporator 1 and evaporators 2, other information is needed, namely the temperature measurement of each evaporator as a parameter so that the solenoid valve can work so that it can flow the bittern fluid from the shelter tank to the evaporer 1, the sampling of the evaporation product 1, the distribution of the bitern from evaporating product 1 to evaporative product 2, and the samplering of evaporate product 2. Based on the tests that have been carried out, it has been found that in the flow of bittern fluid from the bitern shelter tank to the evaporator 1 as much as 2L for 44s and obtained a flow rate value of 0.041 L⁄s. In the flow of the bittern fluid from evaporator 1 to the drain and to evaporer 2 simultaneously for 120 seconds, the volume obtained was 0.85L at a flow rate of 0.012 L⁄s and the volume of 1.1L with a flow speed of 0.014 L/s. In the flow of bittern fluid from evaporator 2 to the drain, the volume obtained was 0.6L over 125s with a flow rate of 0.006 L⁄s.
