Abstract

Dense transportation activities due to the center of attraction and generation, even causing congestion on Jalan Sisingamangaraja, DKI Jakarta. This congestion causes the impact of accumulated air pollution, when it accumulates it will produce more air pollution and greenhouse gases (GHG). GHG will have a global impact. On the other hand, the condition of the existing green open space (RTH) is still below the minimum limit, so that the ability of vegetation to reduce CO2 is still lacking. Therefore, a strategy is needed to organize RTH in the Jalan Sisingamangaraja Corridor through the CO2 gas air balance status approach. The approach is carried out in 4 stages. Stage 1, calculating the CO2 emission value with IPCC Tier-1 analysis. Stage 2, calculating the ability of vegetation to absorb CO2 with quantitative analysis. Stage 3, calculating the air balance status with quantitative analysis. Stage 4, formulating a strategy with comparative descriptive analysis. The CO2 emission value obtained was 9,784.36471 Kg CO2 with a deficit status. The strategy is in the form of planting trees and shrubs; collaborating with the Government, Business Entities, and Academics; installing underground power lines; continuing to maintain vegetation; and planting vegetation on overpass pylons.
