Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan peforma pengisian baterai sepeda motor listrik ITS dengan menggunakan buck-boost converter dan panel surya dengan metode P&O (Perturb and Observe). Metode P&O digunakan untuk melacak titik daya maksimum (MPP) panel surya sehingga dapat diperoleh daya optimal untuk pengisian baterai. Buck-boost converter digunakan untuk menstabilkan tegangan dan arus dari panel surya agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan baterai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan buck-boost converter dan metode P&O dapat meningkatkan peforma pengisian baterai sepeda motor listrik ITS dari tegangan 43% semula membutuhkan pengisian 3 jam sekarang 43% hanya memerlukan waktu 2.30 jam dengan mode charging pada buck-boost converter sehingga waktu pengisian baterai menjadi lebih singkat dan efisien. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan teknologi pengisian baterai yang lebih hemat energi dan ramah lingkungan untuk sepeda motor listrik. This research aims to improve the battery charging performance of the ITS electric motorcycle by using a buck-boost converter and solar panels with the Perturb and Observe (P&O) method. The P&O method is used to track the maximum power point (MPP) of the solar panels to obtain optimal power for battery charging. The buck-boost converter is used to stabilize the voltage and current from the solar panels to match the battery’s requirements. The research result show that using a buck-boost converter and the P&O method can improve the battery charging performance of the ITS electric motorcycle. Previously, charging from 43% required 3 hours, but now it only takes 2.30 hours with the buck-boost converter mode, making the battery charging process shorter and more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly battery charging technology for electric motorcycles.
