Abstract
Pembelajaran mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi berkaitan langsung dengan dosen sebagai tenaga pendidik, oleh karena itu diperlukan dosen dengan kompetensi yang baik. Salah satu ukuran kompetensi profesionalitas dosen yaitu Indeks Pengajaran Dosen (IPD). IPD diperoleh melalui kuesioner mahasiswa, namun dalam pengukurannya IPD memiliki keterbatasan dimana IPD hanya berdasarkan dua kriteria yaitu IPd dan IPm dengan bobot yang sama. IPD tidak mempertimbangkan faktor lain yang mempengaruhi hasil pembelajaran dalam kelas, seperti faktor lingkungan, karakteristik dosen dan karakteristik mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut diperlukan evaluasi penghitungan IPD. Penelitian ini menggunakan Benefit of the Doubt (BoD) untuk menghitung skor kinerja pengajaran dosen dengan berbagai pendekatan. Beberapa pendekatan yang digunakan diantaranya BoD standar, Constrained BoD, Robust BoD, Constrained BoD dengan indikator undesirable, dan Conditional Robust Constrained BoD (CRC BoD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor kinerja pengajaran dosen di Departemen Statistika Bisnis ITS sudah baik. Hasil juga mengungkapkan bahwa instrumen IPD yang sudah ada tidak cukup menggambarkan kondisi pengajaran yang sebenarnya karena terdapat faktor-faktor lain yang tidak tertangkap dalam hasil pengukuran IPD. Penghitungan skor kinerja dengan mempertimbangkan indikator undesirable cenderung menurunkan skor kinerja. Namun ketika mempertimbangkan indikator undesirable yang diikuti dengan perbedaan kondisi latar belakang (eksogen) cenderung meningkatkan skor kinerja. Dengan demikian, penghitungan skor kinerja pengajaran dosen diharapkan dapat mempertimbangkan indikator undesirable dan kondisi latar belakang karena dapat membantu memastikan penilaian kinerja pengajaran lebih komprehensif dan adil.

Student learning in university is directly related to lecturers as educators, therefore lecturers with good competence are needed. One of the measures of lecturer professional competence is the Lecturer Teaching Index (IPD). IPD was obtained through a student questionnaire, but in its measurement IPD has limitations where IPD is only based on two criteria, namely IPd and IPM with the same weight. IPD does not consider other factors that affect learning outcomes in the classroom, such as environmental factors, lecturer characteristics and student characteristics. Based on this, an evaluation of the IPD calculation is needed. This study uses Benefit of the Doubt (BoD) to calculate lecturers' teaching performance scores with various approaches. Some of the approaches used include standard BoD, Constrained BoD, Robust BoD, Constrained BoD with undesirable indicators, and Conditional Robust Constrained BoD (CRC BoD). The results showed that the teaching performance score of lecturers at the Department of Business Statistics ITS was good. The results also reveal that the existing IPD instrument does not adequately describe the actual teaching conditions because there are other factors that are not captured in the IPD measurement results. Calculation of performance scores by considering undesirable indicators tends to reduce performance scores. However, when considering undesirable indicators followed by differences in background conditions (exogenous) tends to increase performance scores. Thus, the calculation of lecturers' teaching performance scores is expected to consider undesirable indicators and background conditions because it can help ensure a more comprehensive and fair assessment of teaching performance.
