Abstract
Breakwater adalah struktur pantai yang dirancang untuk meredam energi gelombang yang menuju pesisir. Salah satu komponen penting dalam struktur breakwater adalah armour unit, yang berfungsi sebagai lapisan pelindung pertama terhadap beban lingkungan. Seiring perkembangan teknologi, berbagai jenis armour unit telah dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas hidrodinamika breakwater. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menguji BPPT-lock armour unit menggunakan pemodelan fisik dan numerik, dengan skala pemodelan 1:41 dan kemiringan pengujian 1:1,5. Pengujian dilakukan dengan variasi tinggi gelombang dan periode gelombang, yang terdiri dari tiga variasi tinggi gelombang dan empat variasi periode gelombang. Hasil pengujian fisik dan numerik menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan terhadap hidrodinamika breakwater. Berdasarkan hasil studi eksperimen model numerik, pasang air laut juga memiliki pengaruh terhadap kinerja hidrodinamika pada breakwater BPPT-Lock armour unit. Selain itu, hasil studi eksperimen model fisik dan numerik, dapat disimpulkan bahwa layout 2 memberikan kinerja yang lebih baik dalam menghasilkan nilai koefisien transmisi, refleksi, dan runup, dibandingkan dengan layout lainnya.

Breakwater is a coastal structure designed to reduce wave energy towards the coast. One of the important components in a breakwater structure is the armor unit, which serves as the first protective layer against environmental loads. Along with the development of technology, various types of armor units have been developed to improve the effectiveness of breakwater hydrodynamics. This research was conducted by testing the BPPT-lock armour unit using physical and numerical modeling, with a modeling scale of 1:41 and a testing slope of 1:1.5. Tests were conducted with variations in wave height and wave period, consisting of three variations in wave height and four variations in wave period. The results of the physical and numerical tests showed a significant influence on the hydrodynamics of the breakwater. Based on the results of the numerical model experimental study, sea tides also have an influence on the hydrodynamic performance of the BPPT-Lock armor unit breakwater . In addition, the results of physical and numerical model experimental studies, it can be concluded that layout 2 provides better performance in producing transmission, reflection, and runup coefficient values, compared to other layouts.
