Abstract

Kawasan Kampung Atas Air Margasari merupakan sebuah pemukiman yang terletak di wilayah pesisir barat kota Balikpapan. Konteks perancangan yang dipilih sebagai kasus yang akan menjadi simulasi perancangan berada di Kampung Baru di Balikpapan, Yakni semakin tingginya tingkat kriminalitas yang ada di kawasan tersebut. Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan membantu masyarakat untuk mengubah kebiasaan buruk dengan menghidupkan kembali aktivitas masyarakat Kampung Atas Air dalam bidang agama, sosial dan budaya.
Kajian teori yang digunakan dalam perancangan ini adalah Teori Arsitektur Islam yang sekaligus menjadi konsep rancangan. Metode dalam rancangan ini menggunakan Concept Based Framework dan didukung oleh metode studi preseden, studi literatur dan survei site. Pendekatan konsep Arsitektur Islam pada Perumahan Atas Air ini menerapkan rencana tapak, tata massa bangunan, dan tampilan bangunan dengan enam prinsip Arsitektur Islam, pendekatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas perancangan. Merancang bangunan Islami tidak hanya dilihat dari segi estetika dan nilai-nilai Islam, tetapi juga dari aspek keselamatan dan kenyamanannya.

The Kampung Atas Air Margasari area is a settlement located in the western coastal area of Balikpapan city. The design context chosen as a case that will be a design simulation is in Kampung Baru in Balikpapan, namely the increasing crime rate in the area. This Final Assignment aims to help the community change bad habits by reviving the activities of the Kampung Atas Air community in the fields of religion, social and culture.
The theoretical study used in this design is the Islamic Architecture Theory which is also the design concept. The method in this design uses the Concept Based Framework and is supported by the Precedent Study Method, literature study and site survey. The Islamic Architecture concept approach to this Waterfront Housing applies the site plan, building mass layout, and building appearance with the six principles of Islamic Architecture, this approach is expected to improve the quality of the design. Designing Islamic buildings is not only seen from the aesthetic and Islamic values, but also from the safety and comfort aspects.
