Abstract
Bambu delignifikasi menjadi terobosan baru sebagai material penyerap gelombang elektromagnetik. Bambu ori dan bambu petung merupakan material utama penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui proses delignifikasi bambu petung dan bambu ori dengan cara yang sederhana, cepat, dan efisien tanpa merusak bentuk bambu utuh, menganalisis pengaruh lignin pada bambu sebelum dan sesudah proses delignifikasi jika ditinjau dari uji karakterisasi FTIR, SEM, XRD, VNA, dan mengetahui besar penyerapan gelombang mikro pada bambu delignifikasi. Analisis dimulai dengan memilih bambu ori dan bambu petung yang sudah kering, selanjutnya bambu dipotong dan ditimbang. Bambu tersebut selanjutnya direndam pada asam asetat glasial dan hidrogen peroksida 30% pada suhu 84 didelignifikasi dengan interval waktu 2,4,6,8 jam. Selanjutnya hasil bambu delignifikasi diuji menggunakan XRD, SEM, FTIR, dan VNA. Hasil menunjukkan lignin pada bambu setelah didelignifikasi berkurang hal ini menunjukkan jika lignin pada bambu tidak dapat sepenuhnya dihilangkan oleh larutan hidrogen peroksida dan asam asetat glasial. Seiring meningkatnya waktu delignifikasi pada bambu, dinding sel secara bertahap menjadi lebih tipis dan serat pada bambu memisah. Derajat kristalinitas pada selulosa meningkat setelah proses delignifikasi. Pada pengujian VNA hasil bambu delignifikasi nilai rugi refleksi semkain negatif jika dibandingkan dengan nilai rugi refleksi bambu sebelum didelignifikasi, hal ini menunjukkan jika bambu delignifikasi efektif menjadi material penyerap gelombang elektromagnetik, sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan dalam berbagai aplikasi teknologi modern.

Delignified bamboo is a new breakthrough as a material for electromagnetic wave absorption. Spiny bamboo and rough bamboo are the main materials of this research. This study aims to determine the delignification process of spiny bamboo and rough bamboo using a simple, fast, and efficient method without damaging the bamboo's intact form, to analyze the effect of lignin on bamboo before and after the delignification process as observed through FTIR, SEM, XRD, VNA characterization tests, and to determine the microwave absorption capacity of delignified bamboo. The analysis began by selecting dry spiny bamboo and rough bamboo, which were then cut and weighed. The bamboo was soaked in glacial acetic acid and 30% hydrogen peroxide at 84°C for delignification with time intervals of 2, 4, 6, and 8 hours. The delignified bamboo was then tested using XRD, SEM, FTIR, and VNA. The results show that lignin in the bamboo decreases after delignification, indicating that lignin in bamboo cannot be completely removed by a solution of hydrogen peroxide and glacial acetic acid. As the delignification time increased, the cell walls gradually became thinner, and the fibers of the bamboo separated. The crystallinity degree of cellulose increased after the delignification process. In the VNA test, the reflection loss values of the delignified bamboo were more negative compared to those of the bamboo before delignification, showing that delignified bamboo is an effective material for electromagnetic wave absorption, which can be utilized in various modern technological applications.
