Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan lanjutan dari program Matching Fund-Kedaireka berkolaborasi dengan Perusahaan Manufaktur bidang Elektronik dari Osaka, Jepang untuk mengembangkan salah satu produk Special Lighting, LED Underwater Lighting Fishing bernama Lampu Nusantara Bahari Underwater (Lamusa Bahari Underwater). Ternyata dari hasil percobaan lampu pada bangkrak eksisting nelayan lokal masih ditemukan potensi pengembangan yang lebih luas. Bangkrak atau dalam bahasa Inggris disebut, Light Attractor Fish Aggregating Devices (Light Attractor FAD) merupakan konsep produk yang tepat untuk menggabungkan komponen elektronik Lamusa Bahari Underwater menjadi satu, sehingga menciptakan perangkat apung untuk nelayan purse seine yang lebih modern. Pengembangan bangkrak mengacu pada riset bersama kelompok nelayan lokal asal Paciran, kabupaten Lamongan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Data primer melibatkan metode observasi, FGD (Focus Group Discussion), dan deep interview semi terstruktur yang dilakukan secara langsung untuk mengumpulkan pendapat positif maupun negatif nelayan dalam preferensi user dalam memilih produk. Data berikutnya dikumpulkan secara sekunder berdasar literatur, buku, artikel jurnal, serta riset terdahulu. Hasil data yang telah dikumpulkan menjadi acuan dalam menentukan konsep desain, yaitu User Friendly. Dengan demikian, bangkrak yang dikembangkan bisa menjadi pilihan nelayan untuk beralih dari BBM ke baterai yang lebih hemat selain itu dengan menitik beratkan pada konsep user friendly diharap dapat mendorong nelayan lokal untuk terlibat dalam proses perakitan dan penggunaan teknologi di bidang perikanan.

This research is a continuation of the Matching Fund-Kedaireka program in collaboration with an Electronics Manufacturing Company from Osaka, Japan to develop a Special Lighting product, LED Underwater Lighting Fishing or it is called as Lampu Nusantara Bahari Underwater (Lamusa Bahari Underwater). It turns out that from the lamp experiments on Bangkrak produced by local fishermen there was still potential for wider development. Bangkrak, or in English called Light Attractor Fish Aggregating Devices (Light Attractor FAD) is the right product concept to combine the electronic components of Lamusa Bahari Underwater into one, thereby creating a more modern floating device for purse seine fishermen. The development of bangkrak refers to research with a group of local fishermen from Paciran, Lamongan district. Data was collected using primary and secondary data. Primary data uses observation methods, FGD (Focus Group Discussion), and semi-structured in-depth interviews conducted directly to collect positive and negative opinions of fishermen regarding user preferences in choosing products. The next data was collected secondaryly based on literature, books, journal articles, and previous research. The results of the data that have been collected become a reference in determining the design concept, namely User Friendly. Thus, the bangkrak being developed could be an option for fishermen to switch from fuel to more efficient batteries. Apart from that, by focusing on an user friendly concept, it is hoped that it can encourage local fishermen to be involved in the process of assembling and using technology in the fisheries sector.
