Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kapasitas adsorpsi pada membran zeolite-Y yang dimodifikasi dengan polimida P84 dengan perlakuan pirolisis. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melarutkan polimida P84 pada larutan zeolite-Y dengan NMP dan memvariasi suhu pada proses pirolisis pada membran zeolite-Y dan zeolite-Y/P84. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan kinetika adsorpsi untuk mengetahui pengaruh polimida P84 pada kapasitas adsorpsi membran zeolite-Y dan zeolite-P84. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kapasitas adsorpsi pada zeolite-Y tanpa polimida P84 13,33% dan hasil dengan penambahan sebesar 16,67% pada gas CO2. Uji pirolisis pada membran zeolite-Y pada suhu 300°C, 500°C, 700°C hasil menunjukan bahwa kapasitas adsorpsi sebesar 13,33%, 14%, 16,67% dan zeolite/P84 pada suhu yang sama menunjukan haasil sebesar 16,67%, 16,67%, 19,33% pada gas CO2. Pada penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh polimida P84 pada struktur krital, gugus fungsi dan morfologi pada zeolite-Y dilakukan karakterisasi X-ray Diffraction, Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy, menunjukan zeolite-Y dapat mempertahankan struktur kristalinya dengan polimida, persebaran gugus fungsi pada zeollit�Y/p84 hanya terdapat pada permukaanya dengan getaran lemah pada 1720 cm-1. Pengaruh suhu pirolisis menyebabkan perubahan bentuk morfologi pada zeolite-Y/P84 pada suhu tinggi P84 terkarbonasi secara merata pada permukaan zeolite.

This study aims to determine the adsorption capacity of zeolite-Y membrane modified with P84 polyimide by pyrolysis treatment. This research was conducted by dissolving P84 polyimide in zeolite-Y solution with NMP and varying the temperature in the pyrolysis process on zeolite-Y and zeolite-Y/P84 membranes. The data were analysed using adsorption kinetics to determine the effect of P84 polyimide on the adsorption capacity of zeolite-Y and zeolite-P84 membranes. The results showed that the adsorption capacity of zeolite-Y without polyimide P84 was 13.33% and the result with the addition of 16.67% on CO2 gas. Pyrolysis tests on zeolite-Y membranes at 300°C, 500°C, 700°C showed that the adsorption capacity was 13.33%, 14%, 16.67% and zeolite/P84 at the same temperature showed results of 16.67%, 16.67%, 19.33% on CO2 gas. In this study to determine the effect of P84 polyimide on the crustal structure, functional groups and morphology on zeolite-Y, X-ray Diffraction, Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy characterisation was carried out, showing that zeolite-Y can maintain its crystal structure with polyimide, the distribution of functional groups on zeollit-Y / P84 is only found on its surface with weak vibrations at 1720 cm-1. The effect of pyrolysis temperature causes changes in the morphological shape of zeolite-Y/P84 at high temperatures P84 is carbonated evenly on the zeolite surface.
