Abstract
Panel surya merupakan salah satu energi terbarukan yang cocok dipakai di Indonesia yang mempunyai iklim tropis. Peningkatan populasi masyarakat juga berdampak pada meningkatnya kebutuhan listrik. Ancaman krisis listrik pun meningkat karena harga bahan bakar semakin tinggi seiring dengan terbatasnya sumber daya alam. Maka dari itu, departemen Teknik Mesin melakukan riset pada bidang energi terbarukan. Panel surya bekerja dengan memanfaatkan prinsip photovoltaic, pengubahan sinar matahari menjadi listrik. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah menganalisis perencanaan pembuatan panel surya di atap gedung parkiran untuk kebutuhan ruangan laboratorium. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode perhitungan manual untuk menghitung kebutuhan daya listrik, mendapatkan daya yang akan dihasilkan, dan menghitung jumlah panel yang dibutuhkan. Perencanaan ini menggunakan sistem off-grid. Tahapan penelitian diawali dengan melakukan studi literatur terkait dengan perencanaan panel surya. Perhitungan energi panel dilakukan setelah penentuan data awal perhitungan dan setelah mendapatkan kebutuhan energi ruangan. Dilanjutkan dengan perhitungan biaya perencanaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perancangan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya menggunakan panel surya monocrystalline CSUN 350 Wp yang dapat membangkitkan energi rata-rata sebesar 1,87 kWh/hari/panel di atap gedung. Total energi yang dibangkitkan sebesar 921,6 kWh/hari dengan daya sebesar 152.046 Watt. Biaya yang dibutuhkan untuk perencanaan PLTS adalah Rp 4.454.905.089.

Solar panels are one of the renewable energies that is suitable for use in Indonesia which has a tropical climate. The increase in the population of the community also has an impact on the increasing need for electricity. The threat of an electricity crisis is increasing because fuel prices are getting higher along with limited natural resources. Therefore, the Department of Mechanical Engineering conducts research in the field of renewable energy. Solar panels work by utilizing photovoltaic principles, converting sunlight into electricity. The purpose of this study is to analyze the planning of making solar panels on the roof of the parking building for laboratory room needs. The study was conducted by manual calculation method to calculate the electrical power requirements, get the power to be generated, and calculate the number of panels needed. This planning uses an off-grid system. The research phase begins with a study of literature related to the planning of solar panels. The calculation of panel energy is carried out after determining the initial data of the calculation and after obtaining the energy requirement of the room. Proceed with the calculation of planning costs. The results showed that the design of a solar power plant using CSUN 350 Wp monocrystalline solar panels which can generate an average energy of 1.87 kWh/day/panel on the roof of the building. The total energy generated is 921.6 kWh/day with a power of 152,046 Watt. The cost required for PLTS planning is Rp. 4,454,905,089.
