Abstract

Dalam studi obyek rancangan ini yang akan dibahas adalah Menara Radio Republik Indonesia yang merupakan bangunan yang direncanakan menjadi ikon salah satu ikon kota Surabaya. Berupa gedung 20 lantai yang mencakup studio studio RRI, museum bung tomo dan rental office. Misi dari proyek ini adalah mendapatkan benefit yang lebih efektif dari lokasi lahan yang berada di tengah kota, lokasi strategis untuk bisnis perkantoran, sekaligus menciptakan sebuah ikon barn di Surabaya yang memiliki makna Historis. Terdapat 2 konsep utama yang ditekankan dalam bangunan:
• RRI Tower as Historical Representative
• RRI Tower as A Sustainable Architecture
Mengambil fakta bahwa Bung Torno merupakan pahlawan dari Surabaya yang berjuang tidak dengan mengangkat senjata, melainkan dengan mengobarkan semangat juang masyarakat Surabaya saat itu. Dalam hal ini RRI Tower ingin mengingatkan kembali tentang pentingnya RRI sebagai satu satunya alat komunikasi saat itu yang digunakan Bung Torno untuk berorasi. Sustainable architecture atau dalam bahasa Indonesianya adalah arsitektur berkelanjutan, adalah sebuah konsep terapan dalam bidang arsitektur untuk mendukung konsep berkelanjutan, yaitu konsep mempertahankan sumber daya alam agar bertahan lebih lama, yang dikaitkan dengan umur potensi vital sumber daya alam dan lingkungan ekologis manusia, seperti sistem iklim planet, sistem pertanian, industri, kehutanan, dan tentu saja arsitektur

In this design object study, the discussion will be about the Radio Republik Indonesia Tower, a building planned to be an icon of one of the icons of the city of Surabaya. In the form of a 20-story building that includes RRI studios, the Bung Tomo museum and rental offices. The mission of this project is to get more effective benefits from the location of the land in the middle of the city, a strategic location for office businesses, as well as creating a new icon in Surabaya that has historical meaning. There are 2 main concepts emphasized in the building:
• RRI Tower as Historical Representative
• RRI Tower as A Sustainable Architecture
Taking the fact that Bung Torno was a hero from Surabaya who fought not by taking up arms, but by igniting the fighting spirit of the people of Surabaya at that time. In this case, the RRI Tower wants to remind us of the importance of RRI as the only means of communication at that time that Bung Torno used to give speeches. Sustainable architecture or in Indonesian is sustainable architecture, is an applied concept in the field of architecture to support the concept of sustainability, namely the concept of maintaining natural resources so that they last longer, which is associated with the life span of the vital potential of natural resources and the human ecological environment, such as the planet's climate system, agricultural system, industry, forestry, and of course architecture.
